Alberto's Restaurant & Raw Bar — Restaurant in Maryland

I stopped in last Friday night to pickup an online order. The person that greeted me and another person that came out from the kitchen both seemed surprised. But they got my food (birria quesadillas) done pretty quickly! Also, I was refunded what I paid to my card without asking. I think it's wonderful that a place would do that in the year 2025 without even being asked. Our quesadillas were not cheap, but they did contain a lot of meat. I only got to hang inside the restaurant for a little bit, but the atmosphere was nice. I ended up parking at a nearby, free parking garage, and just walking a little ways to get to the restaurant. OMG!!! Alberto's was an experience everyone needs to try for authentic Mexican cuisine!!! The food was so delicious and the service was great! My friend and I asked for recommendations on what to order and we were WOWED!!! I'm writing this after we left and honestly forgot to take pictures of what we had... I've been to other Mexican and Tex-Mex places and they paled in comparison! This is a new place that doesn't have their liquor license yet, they waiting on it, but don't let that stop you from trying it! For now you can BYOB until their bar opens. After having dinner there with my family we came away disappointed in the experience. We do not blame the wait staff whatsoever, they were friendly and accommodating - but the food was disappointing and my son discovered a hair in his dinner. They also added an 18% service charge to our check that we considered the tip and we left. Do better owners, this place has potential, but as it is we will not be going back. There was only one other table that was occupied, other than that it was quite empty.
