America's Best Wings - White Oak — Restaurant in Maryland

I have recently changed my review process so keep in mind I'm giving these guys some slack due to that. Called before visiting and the customer service was poor. Walking into the place it doesn't look like a wing joint, which is fine. However, the cleanliness wasn't great and once again customer service was poor. The girls at the counter were talking to each other and not welcoming or attentive. Popular sodas in drink fountain were good but others weren't, syrup/water ratios were off. Food took a while, about 30 minutes. They charge 25 cents per sauce or seasoning but they'll waive that if you're paying with Samsung Pay because it's cheaper to give you the sauce vs charging you again. The saving grace is the actual food. I had the 5 piece Tenders Combo. Chicken was great, fries were good. All the other aspects get 0 stars but the food gets a 4 for a median of 2 stars +...

I gave this establishment two stars because of their name, America's Best Wings. You can't have a bold name and not back it up by producing the best wings in the country. You set high expectations which only lead to a failed outcome.

At best, the wings were okay. I liked the lemon pepper wings the best. I think they a very stingy with their sauces. I ordered 20 wings and they only gave me a very small container of blue cheese dressing. They wanted to charge me for extra but I had to aggressively explain that was not enough for 20 wings. After a!most begging I was able to get another small container (half filled).

I'd never tried or heard of Americas Best Wings or paid attention to them until the White Oak store opened. Well, shame on me!!! I'm ADDICTED to the Lemon Peper wings!!! They are delicious. As a matter of fact the whole family has a favorite flavor of wings.... They have awesome hush puppies too. I didn't care for their burgers, not because of anything that they did but because I could tell that the burger was frozen not fresh.

The staff there is excellent. I've gone in to place an order 10 minutes before closing time without any issues. They are nice, friendly, and welcoming. The only thing that I dislike is the $1.00 charge for refills, but I'm sure that's because people were abusing the soda fountain. We will continue to patronize this...
