America's Best Wings Wheaton Halal — Restaurant in Maryland

Just ordered from them for the first time today. I saw a mailer and wanted to try them because it is difficult to find good wings around here and they are less than a mile away. I grew up in Buffalo so I think I know a thing or 2 about wings. Or at least I know what I like! I ordered the wings hot, along with the cheese steak sub. They have lots of different flavors but I am partial to Buffalo style. The heat level was on target and the wings were definitely crispy, as I had requested. The only issue I had with the wings was the sauce was kind of gritty. Not sure if this is the result of the sauce ingredients or because they applied the sauce prior to frying. In my opinion the right way to sauce wings is to fry them first and then toss them in a bucket with the sauce. And the only ingredients needed are Frank's Hot Sauce and butter. The sub was pretty good - not up to Philly standards but pretty good for this region. And the employees at the counter were very friendly. The people that work there in the front suck. I had an order I had to pick up and it was supposed to be ready for pick up at 11:39 I got there exactly at 12:00, it took a bit of time because there is only ONE actual parking spot for the store. I walk in there and the food isn't even ready. It seemed like they just started making the food when I walked in. About 15 minutes later finally some of the food starts coming out. It took about 45 minutes for me to get "all" the food. We ordered salads but they were "out" so they gave us something else that was disgusting and just got thrown away. Instead of packing everything in the bag the employee had me running around and looking for a coke bottle and an off brand ginger ale. Instead of telling me where it was the man just kept saying, "Go get it, you get your drink yourself." I shouldn't be looking for stuff in my order when my food was supposed to be done and ready for pick up 20 minutes before. The french fries were nasty and tasted like old oil. This is a double review, as I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Both times, the food and service was really good.

The first time, we got 10 tenders, 20 wings, and fries. The tenders are flat vs the standard long version. They were crispy and hot. The wings were delicious also. Fresh, cooked well, and plenty of sauce. Fries were done right with the right amount of salt.

The second time we got the tenders again, but decided to try the steak and cheese. Everything was very good again. We would've enjoyed more meat with the S&C, but it didn't ruin the meal.

Parking isn't the easiest and the strip mall leaves a little to be desired, but no big deal. Both times, the manager was professional and helpful. We'll be...
