Wish there was a NO STARS - did not eat here because, we and the couple in front of us, were ACCOSTED by the employee, who we found out was the manager even BEFORE we were able to order. We arrived on Saturday, March 30 approx. 4pm and while my friend and I were deciding what to eat, a lovely older couple came in and shared the coupons they had from the newspaper flyer The woman behind the counter (manager) immediately told the couple, who we let go in front of us, they could not share the coupons As she continued to adamantly scold the older couple for sharing when we interrupted and asked why we could not use coupons from a newspaper flyer. The response: "they are not transferrable"....WHAT - they are out of the newspaper - you don't have to be special to receive these? There are a total 6 people in the restaurant - one couple eating, one couple you are fussing at, and me & my friend. And, NO ONE in your drive thru line ...they are all wrapped around Chick-Fil-A (2 doors down), Burger King (next door) and Raising Cane's down the road. - and we know this because we passed them enroute to Arby's and commented on the long lines. One would think that your store manager would not only welcome the business but also treat the few customers you have with respect and kindness. When we asked her to explain, all she could do was continually point to the fine print, but could not explain what that meant - I doubt she knew. It makes no sense and is not the legal meaning on a coupon nor was it put on a the coupon in the spirit of having people not share coupons. Was she planting her stake in the ground on this because we were black? I have to wonder.
So instead of providing good customer service, your business lost 4 of the 6 customers in/at the store on this day. My friend and I were not going to use the coupons anyway because they were not for what we wanted, but we and the lovely couple in front of us agreed to refuse supporting this location at that moment AND ever again. we all walked out! And yes, my friend and I will share our story on FB, IG and Tik Tok, as well as via word of mouth. Such a shame. Below is the legal and true spirit of having non-transferrable in fine print on a coupon (from the newspaper)
Transferring a coupon, from a legal standpoint, refers to much more than simply handing one to a friend. The transfer manufacturers seek to prevent involves three areas: duplication, distribution and...
Read moreI just moved to Gambrills and was trying to choose Of many restaurants or fast food . I haven’t eaten your food in years I was happy to find you near my home . My experience was at the outside line the lady told ask me and as I was looking to my wallet to pay for my food she made a comment to her manager that Latina is looking through her credit cards then let her wait and laugh. She walked out of the window and attended the inside person but walked again to make another comment . I told her that I listened to what she told aand she said she wasn’t talking to me she was speaking to the front client inside of the place .I told her that was upsetting to me to make that comment was not nice and she took my card and was talking again about the incident that later I learned from the manager that was her manager she was talking to “if I waited for you have to then wait for me “. She displaced a don’t care attitude and thought I was upset at waiting no I was upset at her comment I told her that is unfair discrimination. I called the manager who admitted that she was talking to her about waiting and she proceeded to denied the comment. I told her I will never never come back to Arby’s . Really I felt undeserved and discriminated. At 72 it’s hard to hear the tone of voice on older adults and also the comment of being “a Latina “ the manager defended her by denying the comments made . The restaurant was not crowded . Her response go ahead and report me . No apologies just ignored and being disrespectful . The manager want to tell me she has a video well is not the interaction it’s the comment and attitude . I am looking through my purse my card and within seconds this worker was upset for nothing . It’s called pure discrimination age and race . Please the waiting wasn’t long but her comments were uncalled . I speak Spanish and English . I am a well educated person and y retired I am looking for the best places to eat since I not...
Read moreWent prior to lunch rush (11:45) on a Thursday. I think the language barrier was too much. I (tried) to order the brisket sandwich with the crispy fried onions and BBQ sauce meal. Went over the sandwich 3 times with the guy. Get to the window and was asked what kind of sauce. Should have been my first clue. My "regular" Arbys near my office does not ask this. Anyway, got my sandwich and headed home. Fries were fine. Milkshake was good. But, I open my sammy, and it was just Brisket on a roll and a bag of BBQ. Fine, I guess i ordered the wrong thing, and it will be just like the roast beef, meat on a roll. So I sauced it up, and bite in. First bite i get a pickle in my mouth. Lunch ruined. I absolutely despise pickles. So, thanks Arbys Waugh Chapel, you got me. $17 for a fries and milkshake. No more trips to this one ever. Go to the one on Rt 1 in Jessup if you want good (correct) food...
