The husband and I decided to try this place after sitting in a diner waiting 45 minutes and not even get acknowledged. So maybe our attitudes were we're a little sensitive already. When we walked in the greater came over and literally had zero personality. "2, follow me" then tossed menus down and walked away. Our waitress immediately comes over and seems to want to take our full order. We just wanted to order our drinks, and take a look at the menu because we had never been there. She came back with our drinks and asked are you ready now? Very snarky. Again we didn't know the menu so we were ordering as we read. My husband ordered something that came with biscuits and gravy. She turns to him and says "do you want biscuits with your gravy". He said I thought that's what I had ordered and she got all kind of attitude saying well you can get bread, toast, or no bread DO YOU WANT BISCUITS?? So when our food arrives, the biscuits and gravy weren't even there, Just his eggs and meat. He asked where the biscuits and gravy was and she said it's coming in a few. He mentioned that he wanted everything to come out together, and she said sometimes that just doesn't happen. Even the table next to us mouth drops. Which that table next to us, was apparently having the type of morning like our visit to that diner was because even the other waitress said somebody needs to "find these people's food". My husband said I'm very sorry to ask this but can we get some additional napkins and she huffed away. Came back and would not just place them on the table she held them in his face until he physically took them from her. She did the same thing with the receipt. Food was good though. MAYBE we came in with attitude from the first place that we were not realizing we have off, but I truly think the attitude of this particular waitress...
Read moreBob Evan's is my favorite go-to restaurant for lunch + dinner. I often tell friends "I'm going to Uncle Bob's for dinner." I keep an Uncle Bob plushie in my SUV. :)
Luv their Roast Beef Platter + Turkey with Dressing Platter the most. The Lemon Pepper Fish is also delicious. And of course, their Breakfast cant be beat.
The Wildfire Grilled Chicken Salad is my favorite Salad bc it combines a touch of Smokey flavor Honey BBQ + Thousand Island-style dressing. I love that they include Corn Salsa in it8 + thin Tortilla strips give it an extra punch of flavor + crunchiness.
Of Note: Several "Uncle Bob's" restaurants I've been to around MD do not remember to ask a customer about dessert, nor do they state what Pies they have available. Their Pies are good, so its curious as to why they don't make them more "noticeable?" Is it bc pies must be defrosted b4 serving & waitstaff does not like to do it? Many flavors are not listed on the Menu. Very Berry, Pecan & Pumpkin are usually available if you ask for them.
If u pay extra for a Side Salad + Pie, do not forget to ask for ur Pie. They often forget to serve it or the Cookie at the end of ur meal.
Sadly, I never see Oatmeal Cookies offered anymore. It matters to me bc I have Lactose intolerance & cannot eat the Chocolate Chip Cookies as they contain Milk in the Chocolate Chips. Dunno why they stopped serving Oatmeal Cookies, but I wish they'd bring them back.
Overall, I highly recommend Bob Evan's restaurant for just-right sized salads + platters, down home comfort food & Sunday Dinner when u just don't feel like...
Read moreFirst, if I could have given 0 stars I would. My family & myself came for dinner 6pm. Very few people inside sitting.. 2 things we tried to order were out of stock (same as the time before I came over a month ago). Moving on, we all settled on things to eat and ordered our drinks. Waited 10 mins no drinks. Walked to counter to retrieve our own drinks! Food comes, the turkey/stuffing was about a 2 inch piece of turkey most was fat, and the main dish was stuffing apparently... The baked potato soup legit tasted SOUR. Server never came back to check on us. The kids cheese burger was awful my 10 yr old wouldnt eat it. McDonald's taste better!! The ham steak was legitimately 2 small breakfast slices of ham was not as menu states for a ham steak meal. Then the childrens meal comes wjth a "treat", we waited over 15 mins AFTER we cleared our own plates, then walked to tje counter again to see about getting the treat for the kid meal... Absolutely awful service and meals! Never again will we be coming back. Then we speak to manager and he did not take the meals off (they were returned with only 2 bites missing) only took 50% of whole check. Did not remove our meals that were not eaten but returned. OTHER SERVERS checked on their tables just not...
