My family and I visited this location on Christmas Day 2022 and we should’ve never came. We typically visit the IHOP located in Cockeysville (10001 York Rd) and today proved as to why we should’ve never came here. Our waitress name was Grace and she was awesome, it was the Owner named Veda who was super unpleasant. We informed our waitress Grace that we preferred our pancakes to be extremely light in color. However, when they came out they weren’t to our liking so we kindly asked her to take them back and when she did we saw the owner Veda speaking to Grace in an aggressive manner about her bringing the pancakes back to be cooked again. Eventually Veda came over again aggressive and tried to tell my family and I that the pancakes would be doughy and uncooked if they were any lighter. It was her whole demeanor and tone and not so much as what she was saying but the delivery and how she was saying it. My father kindly told her how she was wrong and informed her of how the Cockeysville IHOP throughly cooked their pancakes while being able to deliver the pancakes in a light color manner that we preferred. He then proceeded to bite into his “Big Brunch” (“Custom-cured hickory-smoked bacon, fried egg*, American cheese & IHOP® Sauce”) and found the egg to be over easy runny. When he brought this issue to our waitresses attention and we requested to speak to the owner (Veda). Veda simply sent Grace back to us and said thats the way the burger is supposed to be made. We showed Grace the menu and the description of the burgers ingredients specifically said a FRIED EGG and NOT and over easy egg. Again we asked Grace to speak with Veda again and instead of her coming she sent Grace back to say she was preoccupied when we saw her standing at the kitchen order up window doing absolutely nothing. Instead she sent another manager over, whose name I didn’t get, but he was a black guy, wearing glasses and was bald. She was hiding, after being so aggressive she should have came over and apologized but no. Next, as my dad went to pay the check the white guy wearing glasses was just so rude as well. Once we left he ended up running behind us saying the card only approved $16. Which we knew wasn’t true, he was attempting to embarrass us and then only ended up saying don’t worry about paying the remaining amount due on the bill. We returned and my dad used his same card to pay the remaining balance because AGAIN there was money on the card. Our overall experience was just horrible and we will never be back here. I plan to contact corporate as well to inform them of this horrible franchise that is supposed to represent the IHOP brand,...
Read moreVery dirty restaurant to eat food. Smells like bathroom place. Waitress was very inattentive she was not paying attention to what I was ordering then there was a very very very long wait and when food was served we found meat on the omelet which I told her many many times that we do not eat meat at all. She apologizes and said she will try to bring another omelet.. TRY.. what you mean... and then again Wait wait wait for another hour. We entered to the iHop at 10:30am and at-last we were served food at 12:30pm!!! I still can’t believe so much negligence and so long wait hours. We asked for water with no ice, again no attention and we were served water with ice... Coffee carafe was broken so coffee was getting cold and when I asked for hot coffee again it was served in the same broken carafe. We as a family didn’t want to make an issue and thought that sometime it happens.. however when waitress brought the bill it was just $11.00 and she said they r not going to charge extra because of their unsatisfactory service. But I was charged almost $70 and later after charging my CC she gave me the bill too. (That’s cheating when you asked my CC for $11 and charge $70). Of course this wasn’t acceptable. When my spouse brought it to manager’s attention, the manager started arguing with my wife very loud and start blaming that we placed a wrong order... bla bla bla... she also said: even if you call Obama she won’t listen to anyone.(not sure why Obama..) Manager of this ihop looks like a horrible insane human, the way she was loud in front of all her customers and not even trying to listen what complaint a customer is trying to tell her. When we tried to call ihop customer call center there was only Voice over and asked to record your one minute message.. and nothing else. IF SOME ONE RESPONSIBLE FROM IHOP IS READING THIS MESSAGE, PLEASE HELP THIS IHOP IN BALTIMORE TO BE A BETTER FAMILY VISIT PLACE. REMOVE THIS MANAGER FROM THIS PLACE SHE IS HERE TO RUIN IHOP BRAND.
Truly, if you have a family, kids, elderly parents please strictly avoid this bathroom smell place. NEVER...
Read moreAt 7 PM on a Saturday evening with perfect weather, the place was nearly empty. The manager was lounging in a booth and got up to seat us. We were greeted with a friendly greeting and request for drinks right away by Zach. We asked for separate checks, which was no problem, a definite plus. I tried to order the BLT 55+ with the side salad. Side choices in the menu were fries, pancakes, onion rings or a side salad. Zach said they don't do side salads anymore I said I was trying to limit my carbs, so he suggested I get the PANCAKES. Duh. Zach does not know the pancakes are carbs? chat chat. He suggested the dinner sides list, so I did get an acceptable side of green and yellow string beans. Then it was time for the check. My friends both paid with a credit card. I pulled out a $20 bill. He asked me if I wanted change. An $8.47 bill, leaving $11.53 change, and he thought that would be the tip? Pretty darned presumptuous. Zach went away. He came back with completed credit card slips to be signed, and still had my $20 bill in his hand. So I had to wait a second time. He finally came back with a $10, and a $1 and some coins. I asked him if he was betting if I would leave him the $10, or the $1. Experienced waiters would never put a patron in this position, but would have presented a $5 and six $1's. I tried to explain this, and he kept offering to get me change. I had a tough time getting him to understand that a customer really does not want to be put in the position to have to ask for change to make a tip, and so he should bring it so any possible combination could be paid. I'm still not sure he understood when I left. Five stars for atmosphere, it was what one expects in an IHop. The service, and lack of option of a printed menu item, well, that's...
