Boomerangs Original Ribs & Seafood — Restaurant in Maryland

The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 is because the food itself, was good. When we arrived to be seated there were 3 tables in the entire restaurant occupied, which went to 2 while we waited on our food. The service was about as bad as it gets. The waitress who took our order and brought the food, was asked to please bring us salt, pepper and ketchup before leaving our table. Not only did she not bring it back, she NEVER returned to our table for anything, at all. She never checked on us, brought drink refills, etc. Although, she did walk pass our table a couple times she failed to stop. My husband finally got up after quite a long period of time to retrieve the items we needed. He passed the wjaitress and told her he got the items needed. She never apologized nor returned to our table. Then a bartender finally showed up and asked if we wanted dessert. We declined and asked for the bill. We waited and waited and waited for the bill. Had I had proper change, I would have put the money on the table and left. Then a young man who was waiting on the other occupied table heard us talking and stopped. When I said we were waiting on the bill, he immediately got very angry and stated "people make mistakes" and he was ready to argue and began to. We were not going there with him. It is not the mistake that we have the problem with but the lack of apology for the mistake. We were there to eat, not to retreive items needed to do so and certainly not to argue with a punk waiter who was apparently sticking up for a waitress or perhaps his gf. I'm not sure where management was but the manager should have been called immediately to rectify the matter. If these two waiting tables continue with this behavior, many will not return. This entire incidence was uncalled for. Not an acceptable...

We were part of a party wof six that ate there on Mother’s Day. We were thankful that there was abundant parking available and a short wait time to get our table. The waiter was wonderful and attentive to our requests and needs. The food was absolutely wonderful. We each got something different from the menu and it was all very tasty. We all enjoyed the crabby pretzel skillet appetizer. I had their cream of crab soup, coleslaw (served in cute little jelly jars) and hush puppies with honey butter. Yum!

The only reason that I knocked one star off this review was because everything inside the dining area was hard surfaces without any use of acoustic tiles or other acoustics to help keep noise in dining room from bouncing off of all the hard surfaces. This made it extremely difficult for two in our party with hearing loss to fully enjoy the dining and social experience. Even though both were wearing hearing aids adjusted to the max to focus on voice and minimize background noise, it was overpowering the ability of the hearing aids to compensate.

Dining with friends and family is not just a gastronomic experience, it is also a social experience. All restaurants should design their inside dining areas to provide the best possible acoustic design so that patrons can hear each other in...

We've been to Boomerangs many times for breakfast but never dinner. Every restaurant in Solomons was packed so we decided to give Boomerangs a try for dinner on Labor Day. The restaurant was empty. There were about 5 other tables besides us. The service was super slow and everything took forever. I tried to have a conversation with our waitress but she had no personality and barely interacted with the table. She had a nasty attitude......clearly she did not want to be there working.

Although my dinner was delicious my sons mac and cheese was watery and had no flavor. I paid $7.25 for Kraft mac and cheese! Definitely not homemade and that was very disappointing!

No one came around to see how everything was going or to offer refills. I waited so long for a refill that I got up myself to go find my server. We had a different server for everything (one took the order, one came with the food, one gave us refills, one came with the check) Who gets the tip? Do they split tips? That seems unfair.

Being that it was super slow I would have expected the service to be better. I'll just stick to their breakfast- they seem to work better when the place is...
