Its midnight. My friends and I want junk food at the end of a Friday night of drinking after a long hard week at work. The DD decides to park and order rather than drive thru because its the summertime and you want to enjoy the warmth before 4 months of winter roll in around the corner. I see the "2 for" deals and decide to go for the roadhouse because it has onion rings and bbq sauce and who doesn't want that. I get my order relatively quickly, sit over at the bench to join my companions who are already munching away. I take a bite, and then another. While its satisfying that salty, fatty, bbqy craving that I decided to cheat on my diet for, I cant help but realize there is something missing. I look at the burger and think of the image on the menu, then realize the onion rings are missing. Do I stay silent and accept my fate? No, I'm cheating on a 3 week rolling diet for this, I will have my onion rings! Knock knock in the window and the attendant answers with a puzzled look. I show her the burger and point out that it's missing the onion rings. She looks back at someone, perhaps the shift supervisor, to confirm my assertion. She looks at me and asks if i want them to put it on my half eaten burger. Heck no, give me a new one. She takes my leftover sammich and trashes it while closing the window. She reappears 2 minutes later with a fresh hot burger. Delighted, I go back to my seat and unwrap. Big bite. Pause. Cheese ... check, bbq ..... check, some kind of meat .... check. Onion ring ..... .... ..... no, but there is a slice of raw red onion used in some of the other menu offerings I didn't order. My associates all laugh at me while we head over to McDonald's. I WILL cheat on this...
Read moreI live between two Checkers. One is located 35 minutes away, and the other 45 minutes away in Gaithersburg, MD. Moving forward, I will only eat at the Gaithersburg location for the rest of my life. I ordered the Big Buford combo. I was surprised when she asked what I would like on it. I ordered bacon, cheese, onions, mayo, and tomatoes. I paid and waited about 4 minutes after paying. It seemed as if my burger and fries were being made to order. OMG! I did not mind after opening the wrapper. My burger looked like it was professionally wrapped by Santa's #1 elf. The burger was tall and not compressed. The bun was warm and moist. When I saw the cheese, I knew they had just made it for me. The cheese was warm but still had it's square shape. I could see every ingredient without lifting the bun. It was beautiful. I took a bite, and it was pur perfection! The burger was juicy and tender. The onions were crisp and gave texture. The mayo and cheese kept everything together and mild the punch of the onions. The fries were also good, crispy, and smooth on the inside. Everything was fresh and hot. I don't even like fast food, but this is the best I've ever had. Checkers' new model should be, "We might be slower, but we are the best fast food you will ever have!" I will gladly wait to get another burger like that. I plan on going back tomorrow. My only issue is I paid $14.38 for the...
Read moreThe food is good but the staff are very rude! My friends and I ordered $40 worth of food and when we pulled out of the drive through we realized they forgot a pack of mozzarella sticks. We promptly went back, literally we were there 1 MINUTE later, and the staff not only did not give us the mozzarella sticks we ordered, they called a rude manager lady over who 1) accused us of trying to get free food (we already got $40 worth of food, why would be do all this for $3 of mozzarella sticks???), and, 2) asked me to show her our bags of food to prove we weren’t trying to scam them, snatched the bag from my hands as I held it up to show her, and rifled through our food with her dirty hands to check if the mozzarella sticks were in there (I’m assuming she didn’t wash her hands right before talking to us lol).
I was honestly stunned, she touched all up on our food then threw the bag back at me and said that we probably ate them and came back for a freebie. At that point I realized we’re not getting what we paid for and left.
They clearly have no respect for paying customers. Never coming back here. This happened around 1-2 months ago. Never escalated it to store management bc it’s not worth it but I thought people should know they DO NOT care about sanitation and will rifle through your food like...
