Overall I enjoyed the food. The biscuits do not have a butter flavor so if that is what you're looking for, get a few butter packets before you head out. The pickup is smooth, I ordered online and picked up the bag in a box they have for togo items.
I tried the country ham biscuit, it was pretty good and very big. I added on a runny egg and American cheese. The runny egg was a bit disappointing as it was the smallest yolk I've ever seen. As for the ham, parts of it were over cooked and very chewy and textured so that was a bit of a let down. I tried a piece of the biscuit separately, it tasted like a unsalted biscuit and not buttery.
The righteous chicken biscuit was pretty good as well but the chicken wasn't juicy and in my opinion over cooked. The chicken was nice and crispy though.
I also tried the glazed blueberry biscuit. It was pretty big, a bit bigger than the palm of my hand. The glaze was nice and light and not sticky. But again the biscuit batter doesn't have a seasoning to it and the blueberry flavor didn't get into the batter so you can only tast the blueberry part if you get a bite with blueberries in it.
The cinnamon biscuit roll was pretty good and had a decent amount of cinnamon on it, I was...
Read moreExcellent light fluffy southern style biscuits! 😋😋😋 And, the chicken plus pimento cheese! 😍😋
I’ve visited this location three times over the last two weeks & each time the staff were extremely friendly & helpful to answer any questions I have.
I am coming from the south & the location is not necessarily convenient to access but the service & the food make that was to overlook.
12-3-24 ~ Returned again yesterday to take advantage of the free sandwich they give you for joining their club. I know everyone is down on sugar for obvious reasons but for the few out there who have an appreciation for real southern sweet tea - I think RISE has checked all the boxes! My family is from upper east TN & sometimes a glass of sweet tea just hits the spot! The RISE sweet tea isn’t Alabama style where a spoon can stand straight up (how a coworker from there once described her idea of sweet tea); this was dark tea w/a nice sweet flavor that wasn’t syrupy sweet imo. I can’t allow myself to go everyday but it’s so nice to know where to go!
I will say the cinnamon roll I had was a bit undercooked but other than the center of it & my sandwich were delicious! 😋

Read moreThis place is take out only. Ordered a Southern chicken biscuit (with pimento cheese and bacon), an apple fritter, and coffee. (Yeah, if I had a "cheat day" as opposed to every other day of the week, this would definitely be it!) The chicken and pimento cheese were tasty. Chicken was tender and hot. Bacon tasted good but could have been cooked longer. A bit too chewy for my taste. The apple fritter had a good taste...similar to Dunkin but more dense and tough. I bet the apple fritter is killer right out of the fryer in the AM (I was there around 11 am). The biscuit itself had a good taste...just the right amount of salt... however, it was WAY too crumbly. It made for a freaking mess especially when you added the pimento cheese and chewy bacon to the mix. They need to adjust the recipe by adding more buttermilk (liquid) to the mix or using less flour. So gad to see a place like this open up near us. Being from the south, I miss places like this. As with most things here, a lot more expensive, unfortunately. $9 for a biscuit! Now, if we could just open up some decent "meat and 3" places,...
