Absolutely Disappointed – What a Rip Off! I’ve ordered from China Garden before and never had an issue, until now. I ordered shrimp fried rice, which cost around $12, and when I got home, I was shocked to find a bunch of baby shrimp in my meal. Not small shrimp—baby shrimp. The kind you’d never expect to see in a dish that costs this much.

I called the restaurant to express my frustration, and the woman on the phone casually told me they were “small shrimp.” No—they were baby shrimp, and it felt like I was being brushed off. There was zero concern or attempt to make it right, so I hung up.

Since the Pandemic, the quality of this location has gone down. The prices are more expensive and food is not as tasty. I have ordered the Shrimp Egg Roll only to fine that there is one (1) very small shrimp inside. Today, I ordered shrimp egg foo young. The parties were burnt (you could see it, taste it and smell it) on the bottom and the rice was under cooked. I was willing to take the burn off of the patties, but I needed them to at least give me some new rice. I called and the woman insisted that the rice was cooked and she ate some for lunch. Well, I ordered it at 3:10pm, way pass lunch time. I received it at 3:55. She refused to give me more fully cooked rice. Needless to say, I will not purchase anything else from them. They charge a 3.95% charge on credit card orders and don’t disclose that verbally. They have a little sign from the credit card processor on the glass that most folks didn’t see. While we was standing there waiting on our food we all kept asking why is there a price difference from the listed price… that’s when we realized we was charged extra for using credit card. The prices are already expensive and to add a high processing fee made the whole experience not worth it. The food wasn’t that good to justify paying the price I had to pay plus extra for using credit card. Not too many Chinese choices in the area so I had no other choice.
