We liked coming here a lot. The margaritas and service is usually pretty good. Last time the staff played around with the bill and definitely ripped us off on a pitcher of a spicy margarita. It was pretty much double what a regular pitcher cost. The menu said it was only a few dollars more. Very disappointed with this outcome. Management didn't seem to want to get involved. This was, in my opinion, one of the better establishments that was a chain restaurant. I'd be willing to go back and give it another chance though. When it comes to the spicy margaritas, seems like each bartender makes them differently and charges differently as well. May need to work on that.

Our go-to for Mexican food in Annapolis. Same food as original location, without the traffic and extra time getting down West St. This time I had the daily special, which was shrimp el mojo al ajo (forgive the articles if they’re wrong). It was delish! 12 succulent shrimp in a sea of lightly garlicky sauce with a side of rice perfect for soaking up the extra sauce that didn’t cling to the shrimps. My dinner companion had the California burrito - very filling, enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch the next day (picture with onions from my salad).

Great Mexican restaurant! The fajitas are heavenly, with just the right amount of spices, not too little, not too much! Beef and chicken are both excellent. We also had the guacamole made in front of us in an authentic molcajete! The waiters were very nice and attentive; the food was served in a timely manner, and the prices were fair. The only small thing I didn't like is the advertisement on the underdish, it feels cheap, but all in all I recommend it vividly!!

I came to write a review about our server but see there’s already quite a few comments on the service here… mine does not regard tipping but an extremely rude waiter that made me feel very uncomfortable. Yesterday, I had gone with my family (9 adults and a toddler) to the restaurant and ordered the chicken fajitas, my brother followed and ordered steak fajitas. I knew we both were not going to finish our meals, since thanksgiving was the day before so I asked the server to remove my chicken fajitas and change my brother’s order to the mix fajitas…The food came quick…when the food runner brought the food, as you can predict, a steak fajita and a mix fajita were sat on the table. I told the food runner we had just order the mix but with him not knowing, the server popped up behind him to help support. I thought he was going to apologize for the misunderstanding but instead he accused us of being confusing and blamed us for the mistake. He then told me I never said to cancel my order and verbally fought with me about it. I said we would just keep both (so the inappropriate conversation would be over), and as the food runner went back I asked him about the tortilla shells since they didn’t come out with the fajitas, the server abruptly turned to me and said they were coming. In return, I just said I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a misunderstood again. This got to him, he then said he would take the steak fajita away. When he took the steak fajita, he also took the tortilla shells that had been put on the table. I asked him to leave the tortilla shells and we would pay for them, which he said “you will” as he placed him back down. We later realized he messed up another order within our group. He took the incorrect tacos from my husband’s son (which were my dad’s, given to him by mistake) then returned a couple minutes later with my husbands sons’ tacos but not my dad’s. As he was walking away, I asked my dad if he had gotten his tacos because I wasn’t sure what was happening. The server then turned around and snapped at me again, saying they were coming. I remained quiet whenever the waiter came back to the table in fear that he would snap again… I wish I saw the manager on the way out and said something.

Positive note- Tortilla shells are fresh chips-hot Guacamole/salsa-yummy

Side note- My niece did get sick later that night but I am not going to say it is from eating here. She...

The Hair: Extremely Rude!! I went to this restaurant with several friends and we ordered drinks and dinner. First there was a long black hair on my friend's salad. We alerted the waiter and his said, "we do not have hair in our kitchen". We asked him to please replace the salad and he rudely complied.

The "Virgin" Drink: One of my friends is allergic to alcohol and she ordered a virgin pinocolada. After she drank about half of the drink she began to turn extremely red and her throat started closing up. We asked for the waiter and he continued with his previously rude behavior so we asked for the manager. He said he was the manager. My friend pointed out that his name tag indicated he was a server and asked again for the manager. He refused to get the manager. The owner was standing not far from our table. I decided to go and speak to the owner and while walking over to him the waiter repeatedly tried to stop me saying, "Where are you going. What do you want?".

The Owner: Ignoring him, I walked up to the owner and told him that our friend had been served alcohol when she ordered a virgin and explained that she is allergic and he replied, "Then why did she drink it?". I responded, "because she thought it was a virgin drink." He asked me again (and several times after that), "Why did she drink it?" I said, "Do you know what a virgin drink is?" He said he did but that he did not like the way I was talking to him. Meantime, my friend's throat was swelling and her face was extremely red. The owner did not show the least bit of concern. He never once asked if she was OK. He never went over to the table to check on her.

Photo Opp: They quickly served us the bill but did not charge us for the "virgin" drink. I posted my experience on Consumerist with a picture. Our waiter saw me taking a picture of the outside of the restaurant and ran out the door with a thumbs up to pose for the picture.

This could have been a serious medical situation and fortunately after feeling sick and drinking lots of water my friend was eventually OK. This kind of behavior from any restaurant is unacceptable and is most atrocious coming from an owner.

The food? It was OK. Nothing special. I have a feeling the waiter brought back the same salad plate that had the hair on it. Really nasty place. I DO...

I used to frequent El Toro Bravo frequently when I lived in Annapolis. I have never had a bad experience prior to this weekend. After the meal we had this past weekend though, I will never, ever, go back there again and if I could them a zero, I would. First off, we arrived for lunch around 1 o'clock and were seated at a high top by the bar even though there the entire restaurant was empty. When we asked for a booth the waiter just said no and walked away. We should have left then as it was a sign of things to come, but we were hungry. They brought us some chips and salsa while we were deciding what to order, and we quickly finished the chips as they were hardly any in the basket. When we asked for more we were once again ignored.

I ordered a combo meal and my wife ordered a appetizer portion of chicken quesadillas which came with two small quesadillas. When she ordered, the waiter asked her what kind of chicken she wanted, shredded or grilled. My wife answered grilled. She also ordered a margarita, which did not have a price on the menu. When ordering, she asked the waiter how much it cost and was told $6.00.

My order did not come with everything that it was supposed to come with, it was missing the burrito, and when I asked the waiter he once again ignored us. When I flagged down the manager he claimed that the toquito that was on my plate was a burrito. After all of that, the worst was yet to come.

When the check arrived, it seemed high. Looking at the bill, the quesadillas were priced much higher than what they were on the menu. Also the margurita was $9.20 as opposed to the $6 the waiter told us. After questioning the waiter, we found out why. Remember when the waiter asked my wife whether or not she wanted grilled or shredded chicken on her chicken quesadillas? It turned out that the was a $4.00+ up charge per quesadilla (there were 2 in the order) for grilled chicken. This was no where to be found on the menu and the waiter mentioned nothing about it. When we protested, the waiter called over the manager who told him that he had done the right thing and that we were in the wrong. Needless to say, we left disgusted and no tip was left for the $11.00+ they...
