I love trying all types of foods and in Annapolis Maryland, We have a few Greek restaurants. We are always out and about and willing to try new places to eat. The two girls, Sara and Yesly we met when we came in were very nice. It was shortly before they were closing, so the place was not packed. It’s located in the harbor center on the other side of the movie theaters towards the end of the strip mall. And to the right of the Fresh Market grocery store. In the same shopping center there’s a Starbucks and TGIF. The food was better than I thought it would be. We didn’t order anything crazy, just got a Gyro sampler some octopus and some buttered potatoes. Just to test a few things out I’m sure we’ll be back! Just a few little tweaks needed on the grilled octopus, but other than that, I thought it was pretty good! And of course, I’d like to give a special shout out to Sarah and Yesly who were very nice in helping us. And always big smiles!😁 So if you do see them, say Jack Julius from Google reviews sent you! #GreekFood #HarperCenterAnnapolis #GreekRestaurant

I just want to say that that I am a giant snoot-muffin when it comes to the cook of seafood, but my goodness did Keratsini do a perfect cook on their octopus. Everything was tender, even the tips of the tentacles which all of the places I've been to and ordered octopus from screwed up, over cooked and turned rubbery. There's another european restaurant here in Annapolis that everyone raves about but their grilled octopus cannot hold a candle to this dish. (I just checked that place's menu, they don't have it anymore šŸ™Œ). I also got the pastitsio, also perfect, definitely tasted like someone's Yia-yia was cooking back there. The bechamel was thiccc, but not overwhelmingly rich. Everything was a balance! My husband got their gyro and avgolemono and he enjoyed them very much. Finally, we had their Greek coffee black and honestly it did not need anything else in it. The roast on their coffee was good, and it's not acidic at all. Definitely eat here!

UPDATED 06-2024 The service was much better, empty restaurant, the lemon chicken was good, the greek salad at this GREEK RESTAURANT was terrible. Basically regular salad with olive oil, missing the tang from lemon and vinegar. The dessert was great! See pics from this visit. I wanted to LOVE this place... I really did. I arrived with friends, no greeting from staff. When it came to ordering, the staff was not knowledgable about the food offerings. All four of us have had and in general, like Greek food, however, in this case we ALL ordered different dishes and we ALL agreed that the food was too salty. None of us finished our meals except for the yummy greek salad served in cereal bowls. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Chris’ Charcoal Pit and Paul’s Cafe, both on West Street, still have my votes for Greek food!

Review for Kerastini – Edgewater, Maryland

Kerastini has always been a solid choice for Greek food, but over the past couple of months, it has truly elevated to something special. I’ve been a regular here for years, and I have to say, the recent improvements in both the food and overall experience have been remarkable.

The dishes are consistently fresh, cooked to perfection, and bursting with authentic flavor. The chicken gyro is tender and perfectly seasoned, the spanakopita has a crisp, flaky pastry with a rich spinach and feta filling, and the Greek salad with chicken is always crisp and refreshing, with the chicken cooked just right. The feta spread is another standout — creamy, tangy, and served with warm pita that makes it hard to stop eating.

What sets Kerastini apart right now is that while so many Greek spots in the area have unfortunately slipped in both service and quality, Kerastini has stepped up. The staff is attentive and welcoming, striking the perfect balance of friendly and professional. You get the sense that they truly care about the food and the experience they’re providing.

Greek food has always been one of my favorites, and Kerastini has become my go-to. If you’re craving authentic Greek flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere, this place is not to be missed....

I've eaten Greek food many times, including in Greece, and while some of the dishes at Keratsini lived up to the potential others did not. We had a party of five and were seated in the very crowded indoor bare bones seating area. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. As for the food itself, the spanikopita was absolutely delicious and perfectly baked and I would recommend it anytime, anywhere! The salads were very fresh and had a good amount of peppers and feta. . But some of the other dishes did not meet my expectations, considering the prices. The chicken on my chicken souvlaki skewer was very dry and not right off the grill. The pieces of chicken were perfectly square, making me wonder if they were purchased in bulk. The skewer was served bare, on top of a salad, with no tzatziki or hummus, and overall was lacking in flavor. The dressing for the salad also was barebones oil and vinegar, with not much flavor. My companions also ordered souvlaki, dolmades, and platters, and there was a general feeling of wanting more flavors--maybe some olives and hummus on the side, or maybe some pita on the side, would have made a big difference. Dinner for two with tip was over $60 and it felt more like a takeout meal than a...

I’m really sorry to say this but I am very disappointed in how the quality is declining. I recently ordered a large Greek salad with a side of lamb/beef total $20. I used to get a large salad with lots of onions and tomatoes and feta…and lots of lettuce. The side of meat actually used to be beef and lamb. The salad I got the other day was (what I’d call a $5 side salad). It was in a large container but barely lettuce. 2 quarter slices of tomato. Barely onion. Maybe a few pieces of feta. I paid extra for dressing and they were these two tiny tiny cups not even filled up. The meat was just lamb in big chunks. It was all tasty, not complaining about that. But if I’m paying these insane prices and a $20 salad….please don’t insult me with not providing. I’d rather you charge me $23 and give me a nice size salad that would justify the price. This one hurt and it’s not the first time. So I think my time from ordering again or recommending this place has come to end. If you want to keep customers you need to continue to provide quality and quantity. Don’t skimp and raise prices. A $20 salad of what is basically just lettuce should be loaded up. This...
