I first went to InGrano not long after it just opened and I continue to make the 18 minute drive to this one-of-a-kind bistro/bakery at least one day a week, sometimes two. It’s that good, and it’s that worth it. The coffee is my favorite in town, the pastries are some of the best I’ve ever had, every item on the breakfast and lunch menu is just as good as the one before, and now, we’re finally graced with dinner. InGrano recently launched a Supper Club that runs Thursday-Saturday nights every week. On level with fine dining, the modern ambience offers dim lighting and linen table cloths, with the menu offering craft cocktails and elevated dishes styled to the nines. Each month the dinner menu is a different global theme, and so far, InGrano has brought Japan and South America to Annapolis. Dinners are served as either a tasting menu with various courses, or a la carte for your choosing. I’ve had both tasting menus, because again, it’s that worth it. Each course is an explosion of cultural flavors that we don’t often get access to, and even more, a conversation starter at the table. This is what dining out should be — trying new things, connecting over the food, talking about the food, getting curious about the ingredients, and being present with every bite. It’s an experience for all the senses, as food should be. On top of that, the service is incredible, the owners are the kindest, and the design-forward space always has a welcoming energy. Instead of going out for two mediocre dinners in one week, save it for a real-deal food adventure at InGrano. We need more places that offer these types of food experiences and I have a feeling InGrano is paving the way for that here in Annapolis. Other restaurants in town better catch up, but in the meantime, give business where business...

InGrano has been my go-to spot for delicious coffee, food, and cozy atmosphere any time I have friends or family in town, need to work virtually, or just grab a quick caffeine boost! Recently I stopped in with a friend, excited to try their new Fall beverages and Pumpkin Maple Croissant. The two awesome guys behind the counter were busily meeting the need of the morning rush and looked like they were probably down a few staff that day. We were told the Pumpkin croissants would be ready in about 15 mins so we grabbed our drinks and settled at a table. Another friend joined us eventually and we occasionally checked the counter for when the croissants were ready. Apologetically the young man behind the counter told us there had been a mistake and the croissants wouldn’t be done until almost an hour later than expected. We were disappointed but understood and got different food items (and another coffee :). To our surprise, later on, the young man brought a complimentary Pumpkin croissant to our table and thanked us for our patience. We were all so surprised and appreciative that he had remembered us despite the busy, and I am sure stressful, morning for him. This is just one example of the many wonderful times I have had at InGrano and will continue to keeping coming and recommending them to...

InGrano is such a hidden gem, and while I would love to keep it under my hat as my own very favorite haunt, I am perpetually recommending it to friends and strangers alike in the Annapolis area. The aesthetic feels like a too-cool restaurant that'd be at home in any big metropolitan area, but the staff make it so friendly and welcoming. The crew are always polite, ready to give recommendations, and helpful here - bonus that you can scope out the bakery operations in back through a wee window by the bathrooms.

And the food? My god. The pastries are so beautiful, and with an ever-rotating set of fillings and flavors in homage to the seasons, you're bound to find a new favorite every time you try something. That Banh Mi is a sandwich I perpetially dream of (and could probably take a nap on, given how large it is), the farro salad is an entire party in a bowl, the shakshuka is such a fun play on an OG levantine staple, the chicken katsu and burger are a favorite of my partner, and...wait, am I just listing the entire menu? Yeah, it's that good.

I'm in here once a week for delicious food, strong locally roasted coffee, and a little oasis to throw myself...

Bistro Bakery is an odd combination, but ultimately a great description for this quick eatery - fresh baked goods accompany well-made sandwiches/breakfast items. The line moves quickly with a short menu of options to choose from. Beyond placing your order, staff delivers your dish to your table, but you're expected to get your own water/coffee, and bus your own table. The food items were reasonably priced and I enjoyed the side of chips which came with my sandwich. The bread was good, and the meat filling in my banh mi was very good as well, however I don't think they work well together. The bread was overly toasted making for an extremely crunchy bite that falls a part and makes a mess, while leaving my mouth a bit torn up. Flavor won out though and I ultimately enjoyed the taste. I would come back and try other food.

📝 Ace’s Review (Siskel Style): This place punches way above its weight class. That kombucha-on-tap is cold, tart, and dry enough to pass for a chilled pét-nat if you squint, a total curveball. But the real star? That bánh mì. God damn. You got meat sliced like it owes you money, pickled veg with just enough snap to cut through the richness, and a heat level that hums but doesn’t hijack. Bread held firm too, no soggy bottom, no crumbling edge. Even the chips were crispy with intent, not filler. Vibe inside leans rustic European with just enough “Brooklyn moved to the coast” energy to keep it from feeling try-hard. Whoever’s plating this food respects contrast: crunch vs chew, tang vs umami, green vs red. In short: 🔥 Flavor: 9.1 🎯 Execution: 9.3 🪞Vibe-to-price ratio: Solid 8.7 🥋Overall: S-tier casual joint.
