Read moreYassssss honey, yassssss. So I've had this spot bookmarked for quite some time but just never had the opportunity to go. Well I guess I should mention that I've passed this place on many occasions but the time was just never quite "right" for ice cream. I'm pretty tough on myself and eating sweets. I'm just weird like that considering I'm a gym rat, lol.
Anyway, the juncture was finally right. It was a warm, Spring day and I was driving nearby and my inner-voice said, "The time is nigh." I inhaled deeply and purged forward. So after all this waiting, I definitely wanted the largest, dipped cone available. Ahhhh no au contraire grasshopper. I was informed they are only able to dip the small cones. My hopes and dreams were ripped in half, stepped on and burned at that very, precise moment. I was soooo disappointed. However my body was cheering; how dare I slave away countless daily calories only to savor the sweetness of soft-serve creamy deliciousness!!
Lol, it just wasn't meant to be. I opted for the small vanilla dipped cone. It was good, but you know how you've waited sooo long for something and it just wasn't quite what you envisioned. Yea, well that's exactly how I felt.
Anyway, the little venue is old but cute, enclosed in a chain length fence. They also have one of those windows where they have to open it manually to accept your money and again to hand you your items. Geeez....is the ice cream that good??!!?? Lol.
I'd definitely recommend and give this place...
Read moreWe ordered barbecue sandwiches to be separated so I could put them together when we were ready to eat them. If you don't eat them fresh they have a tendency to get the bread soggy. So we wanted to enjoy them the way we like them. So basically we were asking for a ''little bit'' of customer service.
They did manage to separate the chopped cabbage, by placing it in a piece of wax paper and overwrapped that with foil. The barbecue could have therefore been placed easily into some foil as well. Evidently it did not occur to them this would work? Then they could have just placed the bread buns in a bag. It is important to keep your customer's happy. Instead we had to take care of this at there counter. We had to pull the sandwiches out to unwrap them, pull them apart and get the barbecue off of them. We don't enjoy soggy bread with our sandwiches.
We will not return...
