IHOP — Restaurant in Maryland

I often order takeout from here, and the food is consistently great and at a great price. IHOP's continual good value for the amount, quality, and type of food that you get seems to be one of the best kept secrets in the restaurant industry right now. My orders here are always correct, and that can't always be said of some other local restaurants in this chain. Every now and then, I have to wait 5-10 minutes for my order after already showing up 5 minutes past the expected pickup time, but it's not often and the staff is friendly & helpful in the meantime. I haven't had the pleasure of sitting down for a meal yet inside of this particular location, but from what little I can see whenever I go in to pick up my meals, it seems like a very modernized version of the typical IHOP furnishings, and I actually like it a lot, it feels very cozy...

I have had problems here before with food and service. I attempted to place an order by phone and was told to hold the line. I held the line for approximately 12 minutes; it takes me 20 minutes to drive there. While enroute, I could hear everything that was going on inside the restaurant. I even heard the manager complain to his staff about customers having to wait unnecessarily. I spoke to the manager about it. He seem VERY unconcerned. I asked for an area manager's number. I called it and never got a response. Since this incident, I have hesitantly patronized this location again. I have had egg shells in my omelette and the manager tried to tell me that the omelette ingredients were not measured properly. I did not know egg shells were included. Lol. Beware when eating here....

Don't order from carry-out for the convenience, because there is nothing convenient about it.. My office has ordered from here twice for lunch and both times we have had issues. The first time 2 of our orders were completely wrong when we received the food. The second time it took 7 minutes and 31 sec to order our food (no hold time) and there was only 5 SIMPLE orders. After taking forever to order, I asked if we could pay over the phone with a credit card and after a very long "ummm" and a pause she asked for the credit card and all information. Transaction didn't go through. Then asked again, this time it doesn't go through and she says, "oh, maybe you can't take credit cards over the phone." Gee, thanks for wasting my time. Then when we get the food, again an order was wrong....
