John's Italian Deli — Restaurant in Maryland

Our family has been going to John's Italian Deli since 1974.Thats when we moved into the neighborhood.Still can remember the long lines that moved very quickly and them old wood floors.That when they had the breakfast to die for and I think a few trips to the heart Dr showed that. Lol. When they had the fire alot of people were heart broken put we are all back plus..I can say in this family we have 4 generations still eating there at least twice a week..The staff is awesome and the food is better them awesome..Them homemade soup are great.And if you do run into a problem don't get upset call and they will get it straight.I have come so close to these people and must say if you talk to them in a reasonable manner you'll get it back..Now for the food .I think our families have tried dam near everything on the menu plus and can't say I never a problem but we ate it and they will make it good..My favorite is the John's Italian cold cut and Sharon's chicken and dumplings soup if you are lucky enough to get it before it sells out..and it goes very quick.. Chicken cheese steak next..I could go on and on but you need to at try it...

When there a while back to get their famous cold cut. By the time I got home which is 3 minutes away . Open sub and the roll was so soaked that it fell apart. I ate the lunch meat and threw the rest away. Today I tried their sausage sub. When they called me for it I actually asked them how was I suppose to eat it. The so-called sub was completely open with green peppers and onions pour on top. No way in hell could you make a sub out of it. I ate the sausage and threw the rest away. This place is NOT the Italian John's of old. Went back today because their French fries and gravy are good. An old lady who I assume was the owner who response online reviews kind and friendly but in person is nasty and 2-faced. She actually told me that I much have liked the sausage sub because she went through the trash can that there were little in there. Since I wrote the review hours later...Can you imagine how much she had to dig through to find it. Anyone who quality control is digging through the trash to see what people throw away has bigger problems then what reviews...

I've been craving for a shrimp salad since my coworker treated me on 12/23 /2022. I thought that was the best shrimp salad sub i ever had i sent pictures too coworker , relatives and friends telling people go buy its a little expensive but worth every penny . Fast forward to Jan 6,2023 approx 6pm I order 2 shrimp salad subs plain just like the 1st one my coworker treated me too...I rush back to work , I ate half and noticed it tasted a Lil sour ...ain't think nothing of it .. until I ate the rest the sane night ...I was able too slow down and see what I was eating. The shrimp had a sour tate like it was a day late from throwing it away bit still sold the bad shrimp salad... I will never spend my money with them again...but if you choose to just adk if it's fresh. Once I returned too work on Monday the 2nd sub I purchased was for the coworker who treated me I asked him and he said the same it taste funny like it was bad ...so pls just ask if it's fresh..but when your spending that type of money you shouldn't have too ask. It should...
