MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

Was very unimpressed. The service was slow and the staff was rude and unorganized. Do not go if you have food allergies, they cross contaminate food. If you have the option to go to a Pie Five, they are much better.

We got there and they were set up like a Pie Five so we thought it was going to be a nice experience. We started ordering what we wanted and instead of putting the toppings on the pizza they wrote them all down then put them on the pizza making the whole process take longer. They then screwed up putting on the toppings they just wrote down. It would have been much more efficient if they had just put the toppings on as you told them.

We were a party of 6. For some reason they put my youngest son's pizza in and let it cook by itself. When they gave us that pizza my wife noticed all of the rest of our pizzas were just sitting on the table in the middle. She asked a lady that was standing around doing nothing if they only cook one pizza at a time because our son had his pizza but the rest of our pizzas were sitting on a table instead of going in the oven. The lady then proceeded to rudely tell my wife she was on the phone, so she could not cook pizzas and be on the phone at the same time. After standing around doing nothing for several more minutes the lady finally started to put the rest of our pizzas in the oven.

Paying was also a lot of fun. My wife had earlier gotten an apple juice to split between our three kids and a root beer. When another lady came over for me to pay she first tried to charge us for 7 pizzas instead of 6. After arguing with her over that she then tried to not only charge us for the two drinks my wife got but for tea for everyone. I explained we did not get any tea. She then told me we did. After explaining again we did not get any she pointed at my kids and said "see, you have tea in those cups. I can see it. You can not just take that. You have to pay for it." I explained to the lady that she was seeing the apple juice we got and she had just wrung up split into cups for 3 kids. At that point she mumbled sorry and that people do try to steal tea.

When the food finally came out they forgot to double cut the kids pizzas and where exasperated with me for asking them to do what they had already said they would do. They also mixed up pizzas and got toppings from other peoples pizzas on ours. Both my son and wife have shellfish allergies so places not taking care with their food is always something we pay attention to. If you have no allergies, this does not seem like a big deal. If you do though I would not trust this place to take your issues seriously.

After all of this 2 of the 6 pizzas tasted decent. The other 4 were mediocre at best. This place is not worth the time, money, and effort...

This 4 star rating was more like a 3 and a 1/2. I've been here several times with my husband but sat in the car so he could run in to order and get pizza. More recently I saw on Yelp that they have pizza options with gluten free crust, etc. This past Friday, I visited to order the gluten free crust as well as the dairy free mozzarella and some good toppings.

This place advertises being quick. I waited at least 20 minutes from my food. In the past when my husband has visited, he was in-and-out. I was in and in.

Let me start with the cons and finish with the pros so that we can end on a good note.

Cons Must order largest pizza to get gluten free crust. Didn't work for me. I'm 1 person. Wait time was insane. Purchased a gift card, no gift card jackets. Watched an employee come out on the floor and use her gloved hands to adjust her hair w headband fixing hair for several minutes.

Pros Options on top of options. Gluten Free Pizza Crust. Dairy Free Mozzarella. Great tasting pizza. Courteous staff. Appealing beverage options.

Sadly waiting the extra time made me late for my next commitment which was take my son to work so I'm unsure if I can dedicate more time to this place but I'm wishing them the best since they are in a heavy...

Update- Mod Pizza- since when does Greek salad have hot peppers on it?? NEVER but my last two salads were ruined with them! WHY??

Was at my favorite pizza place again!! Of course I got my Caspian pizza but just a medium this time. I just could not pass up their Greek salad. Of course extra feta and dressing. The only that bothered me on this trip... And I hate to bring it up 😔 It was really busy when we came in, like dinner time. There were only like 2 tables when we got there. They cleared out quick. There was a young male cleaning up, which I understand as anyone would. BUT- this dining room has a lot of chairs with the high top tables chairs and the long tables etc. This young man pulled out every chair and it screeched all the way out and all the way in. It has to be at least 20 chairs not counting the tables he moved. It took away from the dining experience. The food and service was fantastic as always and it doesn't deter me from ever going back. I just hope next time, the person can at least pick them up and think about the diner...
