Naz's Halal Food - Waldorf — Restaurant in Maryland

The food here was fairly good. I had the chicken and lamb plate with both green and white sauce. I would say that the portions weren't as plentiful as I am used to at Halal style foods. The meat was cooked perfectly, the rice was as well, and the sauces were somewhat flavorful. The only issues I had were the portions and the flavor of the sauces. The sauces had a bit of flavor to them, but the white sauce as compared to the green sauce had a touch more. The green sauce did not have a kick at all to it, I was really hoping for that kick of spice. Think of cilantro as a base for the green sauce then adding some dry spices and fresh chopped jalapeños that help make the flavor of this kick. The spice is mainly a kick and doesn't burn your tongue kind of thing. The white sauce was a slight more watery than I had hoped for and lacking in the tangy flavor. I would say that it would be a flavorful ranch sauce if you will. The other part for me were the portions. The meat, rice and vegetable ratios were a bit off to me. Just my opinion here, but there was more meat than rice. I understand that I ordered two meats. I feel as if the rice should be two thirds more than the rice for each protein. The rice was however cooked perfectly! The price of the meal definitely wasn't bad at all. Service was prompt and took less than 2 minutes to have out to me. And yes I timed it, just part of what I do mentally. I'm a mad man, don't judge me at all. And the ambiance is clean and welcoming. It's in a nice and slightly busy part of end of Crain Hwy. Very good location, away from the busy & crazy driving of Waldorf. I'll go...

Update…I had the pleasure of speaking with a Supervisor named Jackie, whom was very professional and was very disappointed as she listened to my experience. She apologized on behalf of the employee, offered to replace both meals and explained that she would forward my experience to the owner. To my surprise the owner phoned me the next day. He was very concerned and apologetic regarding my experience. He wanted to further investigate to determine whom exactly the employee was to ensure retraining on customer service as he views patrons as family thus should be treated as such. He kindly insisted on comping the meals. As I stated in my initial post, this horrible experience was not my normal experience at this establishment. I appreciate that the Owner and Supervisor quickly responded, acknowledged my concerns, and were genuinely apologetic. The food here is great and I have experienced customer service at its finest! I will continue to support this business and encourage everyone to do the same.

I called to speak with the manager regarding poor quality of 2 meals order; which was not my normal experience at this location. The food was DRENCHED in sauce. I simply wanted to alert the manager and return the meals for properly prepared meals after work. A young female that answered was extremely rude, refused to give her name and said she was not sure when the manager would return. She further stated that she did not know the managers name then hung up the phone. Let’s not support businesses that disrespect...

One of worst cases of customer service I've ever experienced!

Arrived around 11 am in the morning, there was a single worker on duty, from what I can tell. She was very rude, could not hear anything I said, or that's what she implied, no matter how loud I was or how many times I repeated myself. It was really off putting, since she would make no effort to come closer to hear me. I asked another customer if I was speaking too low, he said "no, she did the same to me". Another customer,after receiving his food, repeatedly told the young lady "thank you, have a good day", she almost made a concerted effort not to look up at or acknowledge him. I've rarely experienced anything like that.

The food was decent, but because the service and energy was so amazingly bad, I could not in good faith give this place above a two star review. The thing is, if there's not a standard of just common courtesy and kindness as far as customer service is concerned, what is the standard as it pertains to food, cleanliness and other important yet essential elements of running a business?! That being said I will not return and cannot advise...
