Taco Tuesday 🌮 I have been to Fiesta Cancun plenty of times. The most popular night that I have attended is Tuesday. It's popular because they also have Karaoke 🎤. With that said, Tuesdays is a bit hectic and crowded. Be ware that it is loud! I arrived a little before 8 PM EST. To my surprise I was seated immediately (party of 1). I don't even attempt to get a seat at the bar because there's never availability and very rarely do I catch a seat as soon as someone is leaving.
Unfortunately, the hostess sat me but no waiter/waitress came for a while. I watched plenty pass by me. I even stopped one that was at the table diagnolly from me asking if she could send over the server. That was after waiting 10 minutes. The server replied "Sure, I'll get someone one to come over" No one came. I then saw the table of four across from me be seated. And moments later, chips and salsa arrived for their table. At this point it's been almost 20 minutes. I stopped a different server- Shout-out to Allison! She had her hands full of dishes she was cleaning off but still politely decided to free a hand and take my order. After doing so, I receive the chips and salsa for the table momentarily. The food is good. The Margaritas are large! This is why I keep returning. I am disappointed in the service though. I am not sure if they are short staffed but unless I am seated at the bar (on a slow night) it is a struggle with attentiveness. So, pack your patience if you decide to check this place out.
I ordered chicken & steak quesadillas this time (I usually get fajitas). I did ask for extra sour cream and guac. I had to remind or request it again because what was on my plate could not have been the extra. The quesadillas also seemed empty or hallow? I'm not sure but I've had better at their restaurant specifically so I was disappointed. I ordered the Jumbo Fiesta Cadillac margarita and forgot how big it was. 🤯 I struggled to finish it.
Three stars because I've been plenty times but the service needs improvement and I was disappointed in the quesadillas this time around. If I go back, I'll review a...
Read moreAs a black woman, to even begin to explain the discriminatory atmosphere I felt going into this place is absolutely ridiculous. I went into this restaurant after my 12 hour shift to pick up an online order. I came in through the bar side door and asked the bartender where to pick up an online order. She directed me to the host stand, which is where it all began. As I walk up to the host stand, I notice their backs are toward me (due to me coming from the wrong side) and they were conversing. I said to the hostesses, "excuse me" which they acknowledged me, but gave me a side eye and continued the conversation they were having. I thought to myself, "maybe I didn't speak loudly enough". I spoke again. They continued to give me these side eyes and continued their conversation as I kept trying to get their attention. I noticed a gentleman standing in front of the host stand, presumably waiting for an online order as well. I thought the hosts were probably helping him, but instead a server walked up and handed him his order. Mind you, I'm standing next to the table with the online orders on it. As the server is walking back, I ask him for help as well. He ALSO made eye contact with me, yet ignored me and kept walking. I looked to the two hostess again and said even louder "can someone help me with my order" which got their attention AND finally got me my order (which was on said table). The fact I had 3 individuals ignore me is absolutely insane, especially when being acknowledged. I have never felt such disrespect trying a new food spot in my LIFE. The only one who showed an ounce of sympathy was Reyes, the manager. Even the manager who called me after the fact (a woman, I'm unsure her name) sounded as if she were laughing the entire time telling me how sorry she was that I felt this way. It was absolutely rude the experience I had, and honestly no amount of free food, drinks or even coupons will have me coming back or giving...
Read moreI didn't go to my usual favorite place for Mexican and tried this place. The young lady at the door was friendly the atmosphere seemed good. She talked up the food so I was excited. I got the Birria tacos a chorizo queso dip. The taco was good and meaty however it lacked cheese. I appreciate that they put the onions on the side even without me saying it but it was mixing with the cilantro so I still was unable to eat The cilantro without getting onion that I didn't want. But that was minor. Overall it was a decent taco. The queso dip was another story. This has been the worst queso I've ever had in my entire life. How do you mess up cheese dip? Somehow they manage to do so It was very stiff. Not gooey just a hardened cheese that even after I took it home to rewarm it it still was stiff. Remind you of mozzarella sticks when they no longer stretch and ooze. I don't know what kind of cheese this was. When you put your tortilla chip in it the chip snaps immediately because there is no give from a block of cheese. $28.57 later I will stick with my usual restaurant for queso. I give this place three stars overall. Overpriced for the quality that I...
