I normally eat here once a week and they normally have the best food. I picked my food up on the way home from work. once I opened it i noticed it had a burnt smell but tried to give it a chance. Not only was the outside burnt but on the inside was too. The meat had a burnt aftertaste and some pieces were crispy. I called they told me to bring it back claimed the cook has been there for years but bring it back. I go there today and they open it and say we normally don’t take back outside food. I tell him what I was told and he give me attitude. I asked the other customer in the store if it looks burnt and he agreed. Then he continues to say this isn’t burnt to me. I paid my money for the meal and shouldn’t have to eat something that looks burnt. Smells burnt and is BURNT. He gave me attitude about the meal being fine to him. He was rude from there asking me what do I want this time like I’m asking him for free food. I declined anything from them and walked out. Clearly it’s not about the money it’s the fact that I work hard for my money and want to eat a meal that isn’t hard because you burnt the bread and the meat. Will never waste another dime in that place. They are in the food industry and giving someone great customer service with great food should...
Read moreI was highly impressed by this establishment when I first discovered it a few months back. My cousin does electrical work for this establishment. I accompanied my cousin on a visit to do some electrical repairs. Needless to say, I had an opportunity to see this establishment’s behind the scene operations. What struck me most was how meticulous, from cleaning and sanitization to food preparation and cooking, all these operations came together to produce such very fine palatable cuisine on a consistent basis. Last evening I was in a mood to eat out. I thought to myself, “ I want some cuisine with excellent taste and prepared fresh and piping hot just the way I love it!” I wasn’t in a mood for being “burnt” or disappointed! I wanted a “sure shot”! And only one restaurant came to mind. So much so, I paid over one hundred dollars in a “LYFT” to purchase over a hundred dollars worth of cuisine. I lived by Montgomery County Community College in Rockville, MD. Folks listen to me! If you’re in the mood for Five Star cuisine from a carryout/sit-in restaurant, then you need to trek from wherever you are, like I did, to this Specific “New York Fried Chicken” on Colebrook Drive, Hilcrest Heights MD. It’s the “Sure Shot” each and...
