I've spent a few hundred dollars on Beauty 4 U wigs. I have a specific style and I've purchased enough wigs that I don't tend to try them on. It's backfired before: I brought a terrible color once and that sucked since I know Beauty 4 U has a 'no return' policy.
This time, I purchased a wig in the style and color I love. I tried on the dark brown display wig and decided I wanted red/wine. Beauty 4 U pulled out the package from their cabinets and the color the model was wearing was ombre (light on the top to dark brown on the bottom). Inside was the red/wine colored wig I wanted. I paid, left, went home, and tried it on.
There's an immediate problem: the wig was red on the left and wine on the right. Straight down the middle! Half and half. Not blended. Not a style. Not like the picture. Not like the wig I tried on. Not even a stylish way you would wear your hair. It was clearly a manufacturer defect. So I took it back.
I was told several times that the wig was made like that: half bright red and half dark wine down the middle. No matter how many times I explained "manufacturer defect," 3 sales people and 1 manager told me the same thing: the wig was made this way and it must be correct. 4 people couldn't apply logic and reasoning. I even asked for them to show me another wig like this in their collection, but they said: "no, we don't sell wigs like this....."
After talking to 4 people, i realized they were all taught to respond the same way to an customer issue: say it's ok and deny a obvious problem. So I left. I'll follow up with the manufacturer.
One thing I learned: Beauty 4 U marked the wig up by 200%! My wig was $68 in the store. I checked the manufacturer's site and it's $35 online!...I've definitely spent a few hundred in this store over the last year and I was completely ripped off.
I won't...
Read moreThis was one of my go to places for hair products. I like their loyalty program and decided to buy hair from them earlier this year. It will be a long time IF I ever buy from them again. I decided to buy hair from them besides my other go to place. I should have stuck with the place I know. I bought virgin blonde hair and was told it could be colored. My stylist colored it and it looked great...for a week. The hair started matting up, it shed and hair was coming out of the closure. I asked for the company that made the hair but from the information given to me, no one responded back. Then COVID-19 hit. I came back to talk to a manager once I saw it was open. I explained what happened and I that I didn't want my money back but store credit. The manager said no. Once hair had been manipulated then it's the stylist fault. I told him my stylist used a light coloring and it should not have caused the hair to become so tangled or fall out so soon. Then the manager said I could try talking to the manufacturer but they usually won't give money back. I said I contacted them but didn't receive a response. I asked if he could contact them on my behalf. He said no. He also said he couldn't help me because I didn't buy the hair at his store. Really? Ok. I have my receipt. He looked at it then said...ok I will give you ten percent off your purchase today. It can be used with any sales. I don't want ten percent off for just today. I don't need anything today worth using ten percent off. I was very upset after that and left. I wasn't asking for that much. I didn't want store credit for the total price I paid. Could have offered more than ten percent off that could have been used at any time and not...

They have an armed guard at the store and still watch u like a HAWK if y’all that scared then the store shouldn’t be OPEN! I was told after buying a wig cap to try on wings, that you’re only able to try on 3 wigs! Mind u I was in there shop around before I even decided to try on a wig. KIM was watching me like a bad dog. When she told me that I replied back she should’ve said that when I went to purchase the cap because she wanted me to buy A black stocking cap when I didn’t want black. She was pissy over that she said “ You can complain to the manager” I said “ I’m not complaining I’m responding” I go to talk to the manager all he saying is that’s the policy and I said I understand that’s the policy but I wasn’t aware of the policy when I purchased a wig cap and the policy is not the problem is the way that she told me so the manager was barely listening. He gonna say oh I’ll put a big sign back there. I said I don’t care where you put the sign at that’s not the problem, it’s the following around the store and then y’all wanna implement rules that customers aren’t aware of they are very prejudice they just want our money and I’ve never seen their own nationality shop in that store ever. Let’s be honest it’s predominantly Black people that shop in that store or Hispanic descent. I will NEVER shop there again ever and I hope every black person sees exactly what they’re doing and also choose not to shop...
