On Tuesday March 5th @ 6:43pm I placed an order via the Outback app for delivery. On the app it stated that I should expect it between 7:34-743pm. At 8 I contacted the restaurant giving them time because delivery delays happen and I was informed that I need to contact DoorDash because the food has not been picked up yet. So I did, after 30 minutes of back and forth I was informed that they didn’t have my order in their system and to contact the restaurant and I attempted to do that on three was but the DoorDash rep hung up. Okay cool, I’ll figure it out. I continue the call with about back and someone finally picked up after 5 minutes and asked me to hold. 10 minutes later the call was disconnected. So I call back again, but now it’s almost 9pm and I’m met with an 11 minute hold and I simply ask to speak with a manager and someone named Tanya or Tonya tells me she’s a manger and I explain it’s been about 2 hours and I have received my food and she becomes very hostile over talking me and not allowing me to speak. First of all she didn’t listen to a thing I said because she told me DoorDash orders don’t go through them, my order was placed on your restaurants app and then she tells me the food is on the way and I finally get a test from DoorDash. It’s been 2 hours of my food just sitting there absolutely not, after being yelled at and belittled I was placed in another hold and someone else comes to the phone. Then I’m met with Tina M Longfellow who I had to explain the story to all over again and she does the same thing the last person did. Overtalk me even though I explained I ordered from OUTBACK APP. I ask her who was I speaking with previously and she lets me know it was just a worker and not a manager which I’m in shock and kind of glad because as someone who manages a call center I would never get away with that behavior. Tina tells me she will speak with her(which I don’t believe) and eventually I’m given a refund. The food eventually arrives after sitting under a heating lamp for 2 hours and I’m afraid to eat it just in case Tanya spat in it. Then I receive and email from Tina tell me I should have called earlier and not waited. This all after at 8pm. I’m sorry I waited 15 minutes to not be a Karen and rush the people making my food because I know delays happen. i frequent this location for pick up orders and unfortunately I have Covid and couldn’t leave so I decided to do delivery and it was the worse experience ever. I love the rum punch, them wings, the Aussie cheese fries, I love everything at outback and I will never not visit again but this was a the worst experience ever. To speak to someone like these people did is just terrible, in my mind it was probably just a system error that didn’t connect to DoorDash. Cool, apologize and let’s fix it but no you chose to disrespect me. I hope someone who actually will address my concerns actually reads this if not that’s fine too,...
Read moreFirst Sunday of the year 2025 My family of 4 went to have lunch at Outback in Largo, which used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area because my husband really likes steak and they used to cook good steak. Unfortunately the service here is so poor that we regretted going. The first shock I got was to be told that they don't serve hot tea. The excuse was "the machine is not working". I was flabbergasted by this response because it just does not make sense since they never served brewed tea. Just to make hot water and give you tea bags period! I have had hot tea at this restaurant time and time again. It just does not make sense why hot tea is too far reached for them.
Next, The waitress brought our food and I kid you nots I looked at the plate they have sprinkle of parsley all over the plates and on the edges they alfredo sauce that was on my plate was all over the edges of the plane as if somebody just opened a jar of alfredo sauce and just poured it over the food not caring the presentation. It was so disgusting I had to ask the waitress to please remove the food. She brought it back, and of course, showing that somebody just wiped it down with a paper napkin.
As if that was not enough, we had a cousin join us mid way our meal, but our waitress had disappeared on us. It took over 20 minutes after she was there that we eventually had to get up to look for someone to attend to our table. Our waitress could not be found! A lot of staff were more interested in watching the game on TV than serving their guests.
The final straw at this restaurant is the fact that we asked to speak to the supervisor to make our concerns known. The waiter who showed up, instead told us he was not the supervisor but he will let the supervisor know. The insulting part of the whole ordeal was that the supervisor rather than show up at our table sent our bill with a 10% discount. This felt really insulting to think he thought the reason we wanted to complain was to get discount or to eat free or the discount should resolve the grievance.
We never want to eat free and we had never left a restaurant without leaving a good tip for people who wait on us. Despite all of this my husband still left tip for the waitresses that ended up attending to us.
So, has outback so belittled the population it serves that a manager of the restaurant cannot attend to the concern of the customers or was there no manager in this Outback restaurant at Largo on Sunday...
Read moreThe reason why this is getting a 2 stars on review is because of the gentleman (i did not get his name)wearing an apron who greeted us up front and he really did his best to assist us (he even visited us and to deliver our drinks) and because of TeeTee that in all fairness did her best to give us a good service.
Let me start with the entrance... no one was at the front when we came and the gentleman who was wearing an apron so happen to pass by to help us out. Mind you, when we sat down, there were 3 people at the host stand so I believe there wasn't a good reason to leave that unattended.
Second, drinks! Was looking forward for a cold beer on tap but sadly, they didn't have any... my partner ordered coke, which again, the gentleman wearing an apron came to give me my water and said they are changing the coke syrup, so it'll be like 10 minutes. The coke came, and it was flat and flavorless. We asked for sprite, and TeeTee(our server) came back to say they were out of that as well... so we settled for water.
Third... food... my partner ordered the Alfredo with chicken and shrimp. It was bland, tasted like it came from a can, and the noodles were kinda over cooked. We kept it cause we were hungry and at this point, we have been in the restaurant for more than an hour. I ordered the porterhouse(yep! Not my usual choice but I'm kinda feeling hungrier than usual so I picked the biggest meat they had to offer) with broccoli (which I ordered mixed veggies) and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were good and flavorful, little kn the cold side but it was okay. The broccoli were... soggy, cold which is confusing because why are they cold if they are so mushy??? Then, the star of the night, which is the steak. Ordered it medium rare and it came medium, it was tough and lots of tendons. I asked for horseradish to add flavor but after chewing for awhile, I gave up. I ate half of it and most of that half I had to spit because of the fat and tendons and the fact that it tasted like an old meat.
I was gonna ask for a manager but everyone seems so busy so we just took our check and left.
Service was definitely good and again, it wasn't the server or the gentleman's fault. Hoping that they fix the food situation because this is just flat out...
