I recently visited the Longhorns Steakhouse at the Capital Centre Blvd in Largo, MD. I've frequent this location several times in the past and stopped because of inadequate service and the quality of food. I've noticed that this location vs your location in Waldorf, MD cosistantly failed in the quality of service, which I know Longhorns Steakhouse is committed in providing. My recent visit today, May 1, 2019 was horrible! The server started out okay, but things quickly declined when my food arrived to the table. My steak was not prepared how I expected, my baked sweet potato was burned and everything else was barely warm. I requested the waitress to please have my Steak cooked a little more and made notice to the other items with problems. She removed my plate took it back and returned 10mins later. I started to cut and eat my steak and began tasting large amounts of cinnamon sugar cooked into my steak. I then thought well this could be that perhaps a little sugar from the potato feel to my steak, but the entire steak had cooked sugar all over, and the broccoli was soaked in what taste like vinegar. I requested the manager to get things corrected so that I could enjoy my meal with my family who also ordered steak dinners; however that did not happen.
The manager took my plate away and stated that he will get things in order, I sat for 40 mins for my food to return. The restaurant only had (4) other people dining in and (3) people sitting at the bar. I literally sat in my seat while my family ate and completed their meals to look over and see that 4 waitresses stood near the bar talking and laughing for over 20mins. I got up to look over the restaurant to see if others were experiencing the same, to see that the manager completely forgot about my food and was actually sitting at a booth doing an interview.
I could not believe my eyes or what was really going on... My thoughts beyond my feelings of anger, so I motioned to my waitress who is comfortably engulfed in a group (personal) conversation to please return to my table, which she did. However, when I requested the manager she returned with my plate and the food was absolutely cold. I'm highly upset at this point ready to go and completely dissatisfied. The manager, Mr Chuck came to my table and I requested that he discount or completely remove my meal from the check due to the inconveniences and the very long wait; but he denied the adjustment and stated, "You are the one who wanted to send your plate back" and proceeded to walk away from the table as if none of what happened mattered, so I packed my food to go (Picture below show me eating my steak at home).
This was the most disappointing, disrespectful and most dissatisfied time I've ever had at this location. My family and I easily spend at lease $150 to $300 every other week at Longhorns. I will not recommend this location to anyone, until management gets it clear that customers do matter, word of mouth could matter and managing a restaurant should always matter. Read moreYikes. I don't even know where to start. We're visiting from out of town and were looking for a close spot with brand standards (consistency) after a long day. We put ourselves on the wait-list when we were 20 minutes away and it gave us a 25 minute wait time. We waited in our car for an additional 15 minutes (40 minutes from getting on the list) before walking inside. I should have turned around and left but lack of other options led me inside. The doors were filthy and floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in days. The overall lack of cleanliness of the restaurant and grounds was alarming, there was a rubber glove on the floor that I watched the hostess step on numerous times. There were silverware, straw wrappers, napkins and otherwise scattered throughout the dining room floor as well. I had to use the restroom and it was over run with toilet paper on the floor, had no paper towels and there was an employee in there talking on her phone to someone (at length) while looking at herself in the mirror. Strange. What else was strange? When I walked through the dining room, there were lots of open tables, I counted more than a dozen. After sitting down for another 5 minutes in the waiting area, we received the "your table is ready" text, after almost 50 minutes. When we got to the stand she said ”you're gonna have to wait for the other one to seat you" and walked away. After standing there awkwardly for several minutes, both hostesses came back and sat us. No silverware. We waited 10-15 minutes before one of the hostesses came back and asked for our drink order (she wasn't the one who brought it). We waited another 10 minutes before a waitress came over, introduced herself and brought bread while asking for our drink order again (she also never brought it). We had no silverware and no way to butter the bread we were given. I started to look up the closest Wingstop when another person approached us and said that our initial waitress had asked her to take us over. She brought us silverware, but only one knife. We finally received our drinks from a random person who we never gave our order to. (We gave the order to 3 different people in total, and were never asked if we'd like a refill). Our new waitress was kind and a hard worker. She was really trying but I felt like she was overwhelmed. It took almost 10 minutes after receiving our salads to finally get the silverware we needed. As a matter of fact, it took over 2.5 hours for 3 adults to get uncomplicated meals in a mildly busy restaurant. The food was decent and timely once we finally got it ordered, it just took forever to get to that point. The cherry on top was when we were leaving and the dining room was very empty, some people were being quoted a 40 minute wait time. I never once saw a manager on the floor or I would have voiced my concerns with them. Do...
Read moreI typically don't take the time to write these but I felt it warranted after my visit this past weekend. I was honestly prepared to leave as soon as I saw the hostess's attitude when my wife checked us in, but my family was hungry and we were a long way from home so I decided to take a chance. As another reviewer mentioned, it was a 20 min wait but tons of tables were open. Again, I let it slide thinking they were short staffed and just busy (it was a Saturday night). We were finally seated (without menus or silverware). I figured we had to pull up digital menus, as many places are having customers do now, and that the waiter would bring silverware. Wrong and wrong. The waiter came to the table and said "I'll be back in a few minutes." HUH? Maybe he forgot something? I don't know but when he did return about 10 mins later he says "Yall don't have menus?" He goes and gets us menus and we ordered immediately because we had been looking online. We ordered an appetizer, three steak meals, and a burger (Of course they ran out of potatoes). The food didn't take too long to come but the silverware did and when it finally came, it was 1 fork wrapped in a napkin. We asked if we could get knives and the condiments we ordered initially. None of it ever came. We even asked another server for the items and she basically ignored us. My mom eventually got frustrated from trying to cut her steak with the fork provided and went to the kitchen area to ask for the things we requested. At that point I knew it was time to leave. So when our waiter finally returned we just asked for the check and to-go boxes. My kids were able to eat so I didn't feel the need to request a manager or make a scene. These people were struggling enough already. Not sure what was going on with our waiter that night but he seemed really confused about what he was supposed to be doing. Not sure if he was new our just overwhelmed by the three tables he had at the moment. Either way, that was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant I've ever had. I take some of the blame because I should've went with my gut and left when we first got there but you live and you learn. I see some reviews are positive so maybe it was just an off night. I would say the real reason this place is the way it is but I think I've said enough. Oh and the food tasted great once we got it home. 5 stars to the kitchen staff (but not the...
