The environment was so relaxing, smelled amazing. The atmosphere is very inviting, calming, and clean. The facility is spotless. I’ve visited The Heavens Spa and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The moment I walked in, this environment is so clean and peaceful. I really liked the snake plant beside the host desk which provided me with plant energy and therapy. This made me aware that they take care of everything well. The music is so relaxing! As I walked in, I was greeted into this warm and welcoming atmosphere by one of the spa hosts who escorted me to a perfect intimate spot as I took a seat in one of the 4 leather massage chairs to relax and unwind, sipping on some refreshing water, and listening to settle music while I wait for my therapist. I also enjoyed the ambiance and the calming lounge so much I re-visited it once more before I exited the spa. Although, they run great promotions, have a good number several therapist and offer a variety of services including stretch therapy, facials, waxes, sauna detox, v-stems to name a few. The experience started with the wonderful woman spa hosts, (Aja and Shamia) who are benevolent, caring, informative, and must I say knowledgeable. They are friendly and professional, making sure everything goes smoothly throughout your experience. They took the time to innerstand my needs and preferences, and ensured I received best possible service. They are your first point of contact and interaction you encounter. PROS: Clean, quiet & comfortable facility. Calm, mellow vibe with soft 90s/2000s R&B in the background. Bathrooms are beautifully decorated & pristine. Clients offered red or white wine at check-in (glasses instead of plastic cups would be a nice touch). Massage chairs in the Ascension Room are nice, though some are worn & the touchpad on mine was wobbly. They’re also not very intuitive. Filtered water machine in the Ascension Room. Skincare products (Epsom salts, masks, oils, lip treatments) available for purchase at the front desk. The stretch therapy was excellent—intense but thorough. Tiara explained everything clearly, encouraged open communication, & I felt immediate relief. Appreciated the ottoman by the table for belongings.
CONS: The walls are very thin—I could hear conversations, laughter & music from nearby rooms. When I was called for my service, the staff member’s voice was louder than expected for a spa, which startled me in the otherwise quiet room. In the massage room, there was nowhere to put clothes or a purse except the back of the door. The massage itself was weird. Mendel, themassage therapist, asked if I had any areas I wanted her to focus on. I told her neck/back/shoulders, but she insisted that she does “full body" massages, as if this were not a part of the full body. Despite filling out a pre-appointment survey & clarifying areas I did not want massaged (like scalp), she massaged them anyway. She forgot my aromatherapy add-on & brought it up after I was already undressed. Instead of closing the door, she stood in the open doorway (facing the hallway) to ask me about it. Though I was covered, I had to sit up to smell the fragrances while exposed to anyone walking by. I was so uncomfortable I declined the add-on. Before starting the massage she grumbled, “I thought we were starting face up” instead of simply asking me to reposition. Her bedside manner was lacking & her technique was odd: lifting my head & holding it in the air, rubbing the top of my shoulders in circles, pinching under my arms and at the base of my skull, mashing her fists into my skin. She also attempted to massage my belly, which was both uncomfortable and odd since it was not a prenatal massage. She burned my back with a hot towel, skipped my neck completely, & massaged areas I specifically asked her not to.
Overall, one of the worst massages...
Read moreMy husband and I had a couples massage at The Heavens Spa. I had Juan and he had Lilly. We had a very pleasant experience. It is not a large spa but they definitely did their due diligence in making sure the place was clean and smelled fresh. The bathrooms are sleek and clean as well.
When you enter the spa, you are greeted by the reception who greets you kindly right away. She then escorts you to a small intimate room that has 4 leather massage chairs that you can enjoy while you await your therapist. Nice relaxing music plays in the background.
I had Juan and let me just say that this young man knows his craft. I have had many massages in the past and I also have a sister who teaches classes and works at Burke Williams in a top upscale spa. He has healing hands. He understands the body, and was even knowledgeable enough to know the medical termination for parts of the spine. I highly recommend him. He applies the right amount of pressure and how to manipulate the muscle in connection with the bones and the tissue.
My husband had Lily and he so enjoyed his massage. When he stood up, I could see he was so much more relaxed and she made him feel comfortable. I am so happy because he was apprehensive about getting a massage. She applied the right amount of pressure for him as he is recovering from a traumatic injury. She even gave advice to my husband which was really encouraging. We definitely will be back.
If I had one complaint it would be that the receptionist could be a little more knowledgeable about the company. She could not answer how long the company has been in business. I feel like that's the basic knowledge when you work in a small business. However she was still nice.
Did I forget to mention they take FSA. Go book...
