I was truly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service received on 12/23 around 1 when Panera lost my order. I placed an order online and apparently it wasn't received, however, after showing the employees and what I assume was a manger the confirmation page with the Aspen Hill address on my laptop, they proceeded to fervently argue with me that the order did not go through. Still, after showing a text message of the charge from the bank that stated the correct amount and named Panera, the supposed manager would not budge. I finally showed her the email with the confirmation and receipt and only then did she ask the employees to make the food, 15-20 minutes after I had come in and pleaded with her to hurry as I was on a time constraint. To be fair, at first she was nice, but then it all went downhill when I asked her what was going on after waiting 5 minutes with no information (as though I had no right to know what happened with my food or the employees wanted to hide the fact that the order was not made).
The technological glitch is understandable, the employees attitude, however, was not as she continued to mutter things under her breath while giving me an attitude as though I had made the mistake up until she begrudgingly gave me my order. Moreover, she insisted that she see my phone with the email and grabbed it away from me notwithstanding COVID.
Given that displeasing service, I don't know if I will be going back to Panera in Aspen Hill or that you reading this should go there, there are so many other local delis that care about their service and training their employees to deal with these situations.Given that displeasing service, I don’t know if I will be going back to Panera in Aspen Hill or that you reading this should go there, there are so many other local delis that care about their service and training their employees to deal with...

Update March 2024 There was only one human cashier available at about 5 pm on a Saturday night. I used the kiosk, which didn't tell me how to get my stuff, nor did it provide a receipt and it was for two teas. I went to the pick up counter to ask, and waited a while for socializing to cease before asking what to do next. Turns out, I simply needed two cups for two teas and did it all myself anyway. Though cups are not accessible to get on your own. I'd recommend adding a sign that says, "proceed to pick up counter for cups."
Update August 2023 I love being able to talk with human cashiers here! Daniel did a fantastic job. When my breakfast was ready at the counter - I enjoyed being able to tell the gentlemen who did "Thank you for making my breakfast" and seeing the joy of a smile come across their faces. And the food was delicious! Recommend bacon, egg and cheese on Asiago cheese bagel!
Original I am very satisfied with my local Panera here. although it's always hopping and crowded, the personnel that work, are detail oriented and personable, while still managing to serve people waiting in line quickly. bathrooms are always clean, which I...
Read moreMy husband and I like to drink Caramel Lattes (Hot and Iced) at Panera. We never try to dine in at this store. We went there and had 2 caramel lattes (1 hot, 1 iced) and 3 grilled cheeses (2 were for dine in and 1 was for to go). The grilled cheeses were perfect, no complaint. But the taste of caramel lattes was not the same as we had them in another Panera. The taste was not good. We think it was because of the milk in the drink was about to spoil. My husband brought our lattes and gave it to the lady cashier. We've decided we did not want to drink it anymore, because we were afraid that will affect to our stomachs. When my husband told this issue to the lady cashier, and he got a flat response from her. :( And, when my husband went back to our table, another lady offered us to get 1 cup of fountain drink as a compensation. Of course, we refused it. We already disappointed with...
