Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Maryland

Nice place. AC is working. Music playing is 90s rock not too loud. Tables and floor are clean.

Wasn’t greeted in particular but when they saw me looking at the menu board they asked if I needed anything. They have a self order kiosk like many places these days so I didn’t really feel like I needed them to take my order.

If you are the sort of person that wants your order taken, they seem disposed to do it. They have registers where they can enter an order for you.

I asked the lady for recommendations and she said she didn’t have anything in particular. Then I asked what her favorites were and she told me the chicken Philly and the Philly cheesesteak. So I’m going with the Philly cheesesteak.

I came in at unusual time around 345. So there was hardly anybody in here although now that I’m in there are four other people in here. My order came out and about four minutes and it looks pretty good. See attached photo. Upon further inspection, it looks like the sub half on the right could use a little more meat, but let’s see how it goes.

It’s piping hot. It tastes great. I was wrong about the sub on the right. The meat was loaded up in the top half of it so I was able to red distribute so we have meat through the whole thing. The bread is soft and crispy the vegetables taste fresh. Very nice level of salt. The tomatoes are nothing fancy, but they still taste like tomatoes.

I’m gonna go with five stars and I will return here. I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about, maybe it’s different if it’s really busy. But this experience was...

I went to have dinner here with my friend and he ordered his food before me in english, the cashier was clearly struggling to understand him bc the order was wrong on the screen as she input it, but luckily I speak fluent spanish and decided to translate his order to make sure they got it right. He wanted no grilled veggies. She went to tell the cooks in front of us and repeated the order. I ordered mine and got my receipt which stated his order was correct. When we sat down to eat the order was completely wrong. He got all the grilled veggies he said he did NOT want so he had to pick through the sandwich to eat it. Usually their service is great with me but probably because I am forced to speak in spanish to make sure it’s right bc we all know a wrong order is one of the most annoying things ever especially when you're hungry. I think the best suggestion would be to put the most bilingual staff member they have as the cashier to take all the orders and make sure...

My experience involved placing an order for take out on March 9, 2024, around 2:30pm. The establishment was clean from what I was able to see (I did not use the restroom). The cashier was very friendly and quick. My biggest issue was when I got home and looked at my food. The presentation left a lot to be desired. More often than not, when I’ve ordered the Philly cheesesteak at other establishments the order is placed together well, regardless of how busy it might be. I’ve seen orders wrapped in paper or tucked tightly to prevent a “mess”.

This sandwich looked as if it was put together chaotically. There was little to nothing of all ingredients. I could tell the bread was cut before the ingredients were placed in the bread because when picking up one side, everything came with it and fell apart. For the amount of money spent for the entire order (~$50.00) I would have expected a better presentation with a sandwich that looked healthy with a generous...
