We have had Piazza Italia a few times and the food is always good.
Last Thursday I ordered 4 - 18inch pizza's, 2 cheese and 2 pepperoni and a chicken avocado salad. I was ordering for my Cub Scout Pack of 15 kids and their parents. I ordered at 5:45p and was told it would be 15mins for pick up or 30mins for delivery. I opted for pick-up since I was across the street (at Harundale Presbyterian Church). I drove over, got there around 5:55p and paid for the order (#15). I asked about how much longer and the guy behind the counter said about 5-7more minutes, the pizza's just went in. Okay, not a problem. So I waited with a few other people in the lobby. A few more people came in - some placed orders and others were picking up. After about 15mins, I was still waiting and I heard #16 and #17 get their orders to go. I asked again how much longer because by then, it had been close to 30mins. I was told, sorry, but we had a lot of pizzas before you. Not sure why that wasn't shared with me when I came in, but the story changed. Next an older gentleman behind the counter asked me what I was waiting for and I told him order #15, he went to check with the pizza guy and immediately started shaping dough to make pizzas. I'm pretty sure they had forgotten my pizzas. At this point it was 6:25P and I couldn't wait any longer, I had also saw order #18 (which was also a pick-up and a few pizza's be picked up). I had ordered these pizzas for my Cub Scout Pack to eat after the Trunk or Treat and before our meeting at 6:30P. I told Piazza Italia, they need to deliver because I have a meeting to get to. They delivered at 6:45P and my cub scouts ate at the end of our meeting.
I couldn't believe their attitude or lack of customer service. There was no apology for the wait or offer to discount my order. Like I said, we have ordered and eaten there before, but after this experience we will not be...
Read moreThis is an excellent local pizza joint in Glen Burnie MD. They have really good New York style pizza. You can choose from a ready made selection of pizza by the slice or customize your own. The crust is deliciously thin and crispy, with a fresh light sauce and quality cheese. I often order just plain cheese slices to savour those aspects of the pizza without any toppings getting in the way. They also have a really good eggplant pizza which although not for me, looks superb and is a favourite in my family.
There is more than just pizza on here. They have a full Italian menu. All of the entrees look top-notch as well. One of the daily specials includes a sub and fries, which are really good.
Service can be a bit curt at times, but they always come through and if there are any issues they do make it right. The facility is kept nice and clean. They have a single TV, usually tuned to a Spanish soccer league if you are in to that.
Overall a good experience, both take away and dining in. A great local establishment...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed in this place, after I was told of the awesome food and specialties pizzas I was duped into poor Customer Service and a Terrible food far from how much I was charged. I wish they had an official Twitter or Facebook so I can publicly tell them how I feel about it, but I will be writing a letter to them because I refuse to set foot in there again. I dropped $40 on two pizzas and a calzones. They have no deals like neighboring pizza parlors. After paying $40 I felt completely robbed because the food and service did not follow suit. I will never come here again and I implore people to shop around if you want good pizza, because there are mom and pop shops that are better than this place. Even the Americanized Pizza places like Pizza Hut are cheaper and taste better. This is coming from a family of Italians, they should be ashamed to even have the Italian name for the quality of food I was...
