Friendly staff, nice place, I'm sure offers great things, but please don't bother saying you serve Acai bowls if you aren't going to serve fresh acai! New to Bethesda and couldn't believe when the employee got out a frozen bag of acai, the exact kind that we buy at target!! Then asked what type of liquid and or fruit we want blended in? This isn't a smoothie it's suppose to be pure acai with fresh fruit on top, usually layered with almond butter, granola and can have shaved coconut and honey. Although disappointed we tried to be open minded ... It did not look or taste good. Didn't even finish it, 9 bucks down the drain. You'll see in this photo of Purre's vs what it's suppose to look like at a place called Elements. The acai color isn't even close to being the right color or consistency, should be a very deep purple with a sorbet/ froyo consistency. Puree's coconut flakes were like chewing on plastic, it was just a sloppy mess and they were out of granola. They blended the almond butter into the "smoothie mix." Not sure why. Hopefully this place can find a distributor that can get the real stuff because this was bad. Suggest contacting "3 Natives", and or" Elements" who serves the real stuff, maybe they...
Read moreOkay, so on my last trip to D.C., I randomly stumbled on this absolute gem of a juice bar, and I have to tell you, if you’re into legit organic, raw, cold-pressed juice… you need to check this place out. Like, don’t walk…run.
But it’s not just about juice although the juice is amazing. They also have these really nourishing eats—soups, açaí bowls, even a soft serve that somehow tastes indulgent but is totally guilt-free. I don’t know how they do it, but it hits that perfect balance of “treat yourself” and “I’m doing something good for my body.”
Here’s what I loved: everything feels super intentional. The ingredients, the vibe, even the way they serve it, it’s like they really get what makes something not just healthy, but also really satisfying. You leave feeling energized, not weighed down.
And the best part? They deliver. So if you’re not in Bethesda, no big deal. You can get this goodness shipped straight to your door, even if you live in South Carolina or pretty much anywhere else in the country. So yeah… go ahead and start your order. Your future self...
Read moreAmy - the owner - is fabulous, kind, and very helpful. Her concept and products are superb and the best in the area. Puree was sold in my gym and this is where I was introduced to them. I take a hike to get to them now, but it’s worth the investment because of how incredible I feel after consuming their products. Thanks to Amy & Crew for doing your part to keep the DMV healthy :).
(P.s. — the other notes about the staff... I find them to be very kind, thoughtful and helpful. THey are on the young side, so they are likely new to customer service — give them some slack and let Amy know in person as opposed to on the web so she work things out. I unfortunately had to do that once and that person is no longer there. She does take action. Contact her at the...
