It was my first time having Sam's. Someone posted on facebook asking where to get the best cheesesteaks in Harford County, and this was the consensus.
I called ahead for takeout.
I immediately went to eat my fries. Which I was most excited about. And was hit with a wave of disappointment. I ordered "Pizza Fries," but no pizza sauce. " The employee simplified it down to "mozzarella fries" and the kitchen took that as "disco fries" and I was very disappointed to put my fork into my delicious looking mozzarella fries, only to br greeted with a a container full of gravy.
I called to ask them why my mozzarella fries were doused in gravy, and they explained that the kitchen must've thought I wanted disco fries.
They offered a credit to get something of equal or lesser value the next time I go there, but this was supposed to be a one-time thing. I wasn't planning on going back.
The disco fries aren't bad. They taste pretty good. But they're just not what I wanted. So I didn't eat much of them.
I was wildly disappointed when I started eating my Cream of Crab soup. It tasted like Maryland crab soup, or half a half.
It was probably the most disappointing cream of crab soup I ever had, and I love cream of crab soup and get it everywhere. It always tastes different.
I did not eat much of it at all.
The cheesesteak, however, was great. It was huge. I couldnt even finish a third of it.
Probably the phattest cheesesteak I've had.
I would 100% recommend getting the cheesesteak and disco fries.
Don't bother with the cream...
Read moreBeen ordering from samâs deli for 2 years, never had a problem. Today my husband & I ordered our usual cheese steak & I ordered a gyro & fried mushrooms. We picked up our order gave the cashier $29.63 and left to go home. When we arrived home we sat down to eat, my husbandâs steak was black thatâs how badly they burnt his steak it was actually black. I canât believe the cook would put black steak on a sub. I opened my gyro and was shocked that the gyro meat was burnt & also black now I know the person cooking knows that steak & gyro meat are not black the cook served it anyway. I called & spoke to the manager bc we wanted our money back, i could bring her the burnt food and get my $30 back. She put me on hold, then got back on phone & said we canât give you your $30 back but we can recook your order for you. I said let me speak to the owner & she said sheâs out of town. Itâs pouring down rain outside, gas prices are very high and the manager wants me to drive all the back to the deli so they can cook our order properly. They donât deserve the star I gave them very bad...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 rating for this awful place. I would, for my recent experience at Samâs Deli in Edgewood! I had a taste for a Turkey and cheese sub! I went to purchase one on Saturday February 10th! There wasnât even as much meat as usual! The turkey tasted salty. Which I didnât think to much about! But I should have. Because I was told, when I had mentioned to them before, That they donât put salt on their subs! After, I ate my sub! A few hours later! I was sick as a dog! I had vomiting and diarrhea! When I spoke to the manager, Maria. She tried to tell me, that I must have had a virus. She repeated that twice. I told her, that I donât get sick, maâ am! I wasted $13.52 on that sub. My plan was to have enough for Sunday. But I wasnât going to eat a sub that obviously had food poisoning. I think it is a shame, that she didnât even offer to refund my money. That is totally bad for business. I will not be going back there to that want- to-be Samâs Deli! The one in Havre De Grace was sooo much better. They need to reopen...
