Im giving it 3 stars because of ambiance and the bartenders doing a good job, but the food was not good at all. We had an order of the chicken wings and an order of their New York Strip (both of which have a slightly different name on the menu, but you get the point.)

We got there at 9:40 or so and the kitchen is supposed to close at 10 or so which is the only benefit of the doubt I would give the chef. But as we sat down at the bar, the bartenders got slammed with a flood of customers coming in; the theater next door had apparently just let out. Anyways, I thought the bartenders handled the rush fairly well. They took our order in time, and the food and drinks came out at a reasonable time. But things went downhill from that point on…

We ordered the wings double fried which came out cooked normal and not well done, but overall I would say the wings were… mehh… okay.

And as for the steak, It could hardly get any worse! We ordered the steak medium, and it came out well done. It was a thin cut of steak which explains why it was so over cooked. It was dry and tough. It did not have enough salt, and hardly any pepper at all. It was only seared around the edges, and the center was mostly just tough, over cooked, meat. I had to ask for some A1 sauce so I can eat it. Keep in mind, at $26 this was not supposed to be a cheap little flat iron stake you get at a greasy spoon diner, but it closely resembled one.

The ambiance was really nice though, and I think some nights they have live music, which would’ve probably improved the experience, but like I mentioned we went on a weekday, at around 9:40 or so, and there was no live music at that point.

If you can catch the live music, its probably gonna be a nice experience, but for now avoid their steak at all costs.

And if the chef reads this, i hope they improve the menu for the better, because I think the restaurant has a lot of potential. A smaller but thicker cut of steak, a nice sear, some good old black pepper and a meat thermometer is all you need for...

On Saturday New years eve we me and 2 ladies walked in seemed chill spot...music depends whos playing it I guess. Got in around 1:30am ordered drinks at 1:54am cause we didnt have menus for that long....got our drinks 2 Moscow mules and a lemonade zinger we got them at 2:20am and the was not even drinkable and tasted the same just lime and water and ice I don't know who is just drink lime juice like that but no.we ordered for same time never got the food so can't tell you if it was bad or not but we just sat in pretty much and drank water cause that's all we could enjoy.first time ever there ..we just walked out when other was waiting as long as us for food and it's closing time. This place needs to communicate better with there customers to let people know your cooks is not at certain making more food ..and your employees thats off shouldn't get drinks before paying customers or there food woman walks right in get 2 drinks and wings within 10 mins of her walking in.... the host does nothing but takes selfies and just handed us the menus ....I don't know if Saturday nite was just bad staffing but definitely made the end night bad we wanted to see why instagram talks this place up ......and most reviews are good but we didn't get any...

Last night my friend was drugged at the Fillmore. She became belligerent very quickly, was unable to walk and could barely keep her eyes open. We stopped in to get some fries and water before I would drive us home. The bartender expressed that we needed to leave because my friend had her head resting on the bar. I explained to him that we would be gone soon, I just wanted her to drink some water. He didn't care, and asked the owner to force us out. We went outside to wait for the uber where my friend rested her head on the outside bar. The owner told us we needed to get off his property and I AGAIN explained to him that my uber was coming. I purchased fries from them so that they could feel better about us being there for a short while, and still the owner kept being rude and pushy. This was extremely inconsiderate. I am only one person who is just trying to get my friend home safely! All I wanted was for her to drink some water. I'm never coming here again and I am shocked at the lack of hospitality the staff exhibited. I was explaining myself calmly and expressing my gratitude the entire time and this is what I get. To top it all off, the chef didn't know how to make garlic aioli so that's just embarrassing. This...

My wife & I decided to stop at Silver Strings on date night after a show we attended in the area, we arrived around 12:15am. Surprisingly it was very vibrant inside. There was a gentleman playing the piano covering 90’s R&B & Pop records with a corresponding projection screen of the original music video of the song he was playing, I thought that was pretty nice. The setting was very warm & relaxing giving a private lounge vibe. Candles were lit on every table and across the bar. Upon being seated our servant was swift with getting us menus water & drinks. I was very happy to know the kitchen was open for business. We ordered light because it was after midnight & we had a few drinks to say the least. Our meal came at a pretty reasonable time considering that people were doing takeout orders and dining in. Our food was hot & delicious. What I like most is the atmosphere, the people different walks of life all enjoying the same thing, music, food, drinks & smiles. In closing I was very happy with my visit at Silver Strings, I stopped in on a humble and found me a new spot. I will be back

I found flies, fruit flies, and mosquitoes in my drink the bartender made me a smoked drink which was absolutely amazing…. Untill I got to the bottom of it and saw all these disgusting things. I showed the bartender and he apologized. I had him make me another one with different ingredients this time to make sure I didn’t get any flies that were in the bottles and sure enough I got halfway through this drink and saw the same amount of insects floating around in my drink. I asked to speak to the manager but the bartender said there was no manager at this place but I could speak to the owner (chef) directly. Long story short, the owner “Zed” ended up speaking very nasty to me and ended up asking me to leave. I will never forget my experience at this place. The only person who made it bearable which was the super friendly bartender that told me the truth about the place
