The food was terrible in ways that aren't just due to a bad day. The curries were very bland, with the "spicy" curry being equally non-spicy as the "medium" curries. There seemed to be no fish sauce in the red & massaman curries, and the curries were so bland they even needed salt. On the other hand, there was an overpowering amount of what seemed to be fish sauce in the pad thai, which lacked the complex flavors I'm used to finding in pad thai. The pad thai came with a tiny amount of chopped peanuts and a tiny fractional llime wedge (not even a whole lime wedge) and there was no flavor of any fresh herbs or other spices in it. It tasted like fish sauce. The massaman curry sauce was somehow curdled, which I don't understand because the ingredients in massaman curries shouldn't curdle. The spring rolls were nicely crispy and not greasy, but the contents inside the spring rolls were overcooked mush and also flavorless. This Thai restaurant had no summer rolls, which I've never seen before. It's like a restaurant where all the food is made from adapted recipes by a cook who has never eaten real Thai food. I don't understand where the high number of good reviews came from. Maybe because it's Halal and there are few Halal options? There's a Kosher Chinese restaurant in Rockville I once ate at because of the great reviews, and it was similarly bland and tasteless. So this was my very first time eating here at silver spring location. We were treated BADLY by Manager who was on duty at 6pm. She came around my table 2 times to take away condiments/Sauces while we were eating. She rudely ask me do you need these sauces and I said yes I am eating she said oh because it expensive it’s from Thailand don’t break it. First of all I just start to eat my food so she should bother about grabbing those sauces back. As a customer I don’t need to be told that these are expensive. What is this mean I should touch them? What do you mean and there is a way to say it to ur customers. Then after 10 minutes she came again and said are you still eating theses. At that time I said Yes I am eating them and I won’t break them. I spent $96 without a Tip after a Tip my total was more than $100 and here we have a Rude manager who is concern about me eating from her experience little jars. If you are that concerned why did you leave those sauces out there for you customers? Aren’t they for customers? And after this I was ready to leave and on my way out she didn’t even say have a good day or nice day. Manager doesn’t mean to go around customer tables and rahe sauces away it means have a great customer service skills so you don’t lose customers. But having say that this place lost us as a customers and I will make sure to let others know not to go to this place while this manager is on duty. Because she is RUDE...

Ok so we decided to try out this restaurant because I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine and this place offered Halal options! The service was not good to say the least. Our server seemed to be in a rush to get our order and did not offer any advice on the menu as this was our first time trying Thai food! I actually enjoyed my dish which was the Pad Thai noodles (pictured below). The curry sauce from the roti Cani seemed unsettled (almost looked curdled). But at the end of our meal before paying the server literally came over took my friends plate of food off the table she was eating on and proceeded to move the table (still dirty) over so the next party could use it!!! My friends phone was still on the table and got up to ask for a manager to complain about the service. The server went over to her picked up a business card and tossed it at her while telling her to call the other location! Thai did not end well! The cook came from the back to mediate the situation. The server stood by our table smiling as my friend is furious. My friend requested she leave the table and she refused which made the situation worse. As I attempted to hand the cook my card so I could just pay our $100 bill he said “just leave I don’t want your money!” The server then reached over and grabbed my box of noodles that I had packed to take home!!!
