I am a HUGE fan of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but let me be quite clear and say that I will NOT be returning to the Burtonsville location. There are bright, colorful signs about smiling and kindness posted all around and the store is clean and decorated for Christmas, however the staff are anything but inviting or welcoming. You are always acknowledged at other locations, but they didn’t even bother to speak when a customer entered. The young lady at the register took an order in front of me and then walked away. She eventually returned and took my order like she was getting a tooth pulled. I order the same meal pretty much every time and it was 2 dollars higher here. It took 25 minutes for me to get a wrap? There was only one other customer. The wrap was not as stuffed as I’m used to and it wasn’t good at all. Just follow the recipe. The kale salad was literally a leaf of kale and an apple sliver. I am not exaggerating. One forkful and no more. It looked like it was a leftover from someone else. I wish I checked before leaving the store because I would not have accepted it. I didn’t eat it because it honestly looked like something you throw away after eating a full container. I’m usually full after I eat here, but I was still hungry after this visit. I witnessed him close the doors at 8:45 even though the website hours say you close at 9, I don’t know who has the power to just magically change the hours but already it’s pretty ridiculous. Even with this while I was waiting for my order two more girls showed up at the door while this man was locking the doors and asked if they could order he told them no and as one of the girls said there was 15 minutes left he closed the door in her face. I don’t know about anyone else but that is the most disrespectful thing anyone in customer service can do especially given the situation. if you’re okay with this type of service and keeping someone like this at your store it seems like you have no standard or respect for the customers that come in and to purchase. Get this place together and stop allowing horrible employees to manage your store. If you care about how your store is perceived you’d get rid of or strictly retrain your staff.

First off there is no manager or supervisor that stays on site (BIG RED FLAG). I placed an order through the app to be delivered. The TC employee purposefully did not give the delivery driver my 3 smoothies. The driver kept telling the employee the smoothies were missing but the employee refused to give her the smoothies. When I received my incomplete order, with only the sandwiches, the driver told me the employee wouldn't give her my smoothies. I called the store and there was no manager or supervisor just a child that was working by herself, who told me she couldn't help me bc she was by herself. The child gave me the personal cell number of the supervisor. I called said "supervisor" to explain the situation and asked to be refunded or have the missing smoothies delivered. Said "supervisor's" name is ABI, she said there was nothing she could do and hung up on me. So ABI pocketed my money and never gave me the smoothies.
