One of the first things that stood out to me at Yia Yia's Kitchen was the ample portions. The serving sizes were generous, ensuring that no one leaves the restaurant hungry. Whether it was the gyro platter or the chicken tenders, each dish was satisfying and left me feeling completely satisfied.

Moreover, the fast service at Yia Yia's Kitchen was commendable. The staff members were attentive and efficient, ensuring that our orders were taken promptly and the food arrived in a timely manner. Despite being busy, they managed to create a pleasant and efficient dining experience.

The pita bread at Yia Yia's Kitchen was nothing short of amazing. It was fresh, warm, and perfectly fluffy, serving as an excellent accompaniment to the various dishes. The hummus was also on point, boasting a creamy and flavorful texture that complemented the pita bread wonderfully.

The friendly staff contributed to the overall positive experience at Yia Yia's Kitchen. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine desire to make our visit enjoyable. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had.

Yia Yia's Kitchen was also a hit with the younger members of our group. The chicken tenders were a hit with the kids, and they couldn't get enough of them. Additionally, the falafels were described as awesome, showcasing the restaurant's ability to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences.

Lastly, I must mention the gyro platter, which was a megaload of food. The combination of tender gyro meat, flavorful toppings, and delicious sides made it a truly satisfying and indulgent meal. It's perfect for those with a big appetite or anyone looking to share a substantial dish.

Overall, my experience at Yia Yia's Kitchen was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating. The restaurant excels in providing ample portions, fast service, amazing pita bread, top-notch hummus, and a friendly staff. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly dining spot or simply craving delicious Mediterranean cuisine, Yia Yia's Kitchen is a must-visit...

Yia Yia’s Kitchen is one of my favorite takeout places in the state, and in October 2020, Yia Yia’s Kitchen catered my wedding. Not only do I recommend eating here in general, I also recommend their catering - both being fair prices. The owner is so considerate and easy to communicate with that the experience was never stressful. He was understanding of both budget and needs, and helped put together a menu that pleased my wife’s El Salvadoran family and my own Greek family. Yes, even my Greek family loved the food! Greek people are often critical of any Greek food that isn’t their own, but my own Yia Yia proclaimed the pastitsio to be better than her own, and my mother was looking inside the spanakopita trying to figure out their secrets for herself. Even their dolmades, which are so often a let down, were sensational. The best part of Yia Yia’s Kitchen is that they know how to make ALL the good Greek food. Get a gyro while you’re there, but order something else each time too! If you’re sick, order the avgolemono soup, which is an improved chicken soup. If you’re drunk or hungover, order the gyro stuffed with fries. If you’re having a party, get a bunch of dips and double the amount of spicy feta dip. If you’re a vegetarian, they have great gyros and other options for you too. Take it from a Greek who has been to Greece, Yia Yia’s...

Sometimes the best discoveries happen unexpectedly, and that's exactly what occurred when I stumbled upon this hidden gem while getting my battery replaced at Auto Zone. The friendly guy replacing my battery highly recommended this place, mentioning that he used to work there. Trusting his judgment, I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did!

Upon entering the small eatery, the tantalizing aroma of perfectly cooked lamb instantly captivated my senses. The menu prominently featured gyros, and after one bite, I knew I had found something truly special. The tenderness of the lamb was unparalleled, and each bite was packed with flavor. It was undoubtedly the best gyro I have ever had the pleasure of eating.

The portions at this place were generous, ensuring that you would leave feeling satisfied. The healthy serving size made it an excellent value for the price. The traffic of customers coming in and out of the restaurant was a testament to the incredible food they were serving. It's clear that this place has gained a reputation for its exceptional cuisine.

If you're a fan of gyros or simply enjoy mouthwatering food, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Devoured the food so fast I didn’t...

Not gonna lie… this might be the best gyro in PG County. If you haven’t tried Yia Yia’s Kitchen in Beltsville, here’s your friendly heads-up—it’s one of those spots that quietly delivers every time. Why you need to go: ✅ Huge portions – so eat now and save some for later ✅ Crispy gyros + loaded platters – the kind that make you pause mid-bite and go “wait, this is really good” ✅ Super quick + friendly service – perfect for lunch, dinner pickup, or a solo date ✅ Rooted in tradition – opened in 2013 and still going strong And let me just say this—I love a great gyro. It’s one of my favorite things to order from a Greek restaurant. Who’s with me? Don’t sleep on Beltsville either—easy access to DC, a chill hometown vibe, and hidden gems like this around every corner. I’m Carolyn, a realtor and community guide here in PG County. Been to Yia Yia’s? What’s your go-to order? Drop it in the comments—I’m taking notes. 🥙👇 Thinking about buying or selling in lovely Beltsville? #linkinbio —always happy to help. #beltsvillemd #pgcountymd #greekgyros #princegeorgescountymd #pgcountyfoodie #dmvfoodie #dmvinfluencers #pgcountyhomes

Ok. Gyro shops are hard to find around here. This is not an Afghani or Pakistani shop, but a Greek shop and what a great twist on the old gyro shop it is! Gyros are good, they bought a less salty and less greasy meat from a vendor. They are roasting it vertically (for some reason that is difficult to find here) and having a hard time keeping up with demand even with 2 roasters going (gotta wait for that outside layer to heat up). Here is the kicker, the rice is seasoned. A savoury, wonderful, perfectly cooked al dente rice topped with a something akin to a spicy sauce veloute. Fantastic! Definitely gives jollof rice a run for the money. The salad and greek dressing are also spot on tasty. In addition to the gyro platter, I ordered the greek green beans (fasolakia lathera) which are good, but I prefer them with a more fresh crisp bean and some tomatoes that are a little less cooked (and tarter) mixed in with tomato sauce. The tzatziki tastes like it is yogurt based (bonus points), but could use a little more cucumber flesh and not just skin. I am happy over stuffed. Opa! Visit #4 Pork Gyros are to due for, crispy, real pork. Lamb Gyro sandwich is super stuffed and makes a very filling meal. It would be great if you did a lamb/beef gyro with real meat!
