WORST SERVICE EVER! I just got back from Henry's Donuts after spending more than 25 minutes there. I was so excited to try this place out having just moved here. When we arrived (My husband, 2 year old son, and I) there were maybe a dozen and a half donuts in the case. There was a limited variety to select from. The place was empty. The woman who appeared behind the counter said that's all the donuts they have for now unless we want to wait. I asked how long and she said about 30 minutes, more were baking. Fresh donuts sounded great so we waited at a table in the section with the kids toys. We were in view of the donut case and the counter.
Right when they bring out the fresh donuts, about 2 dozen, another woman walks in and begins a large order. I walk up to the counter. It's a man this time, Henry I presume, and tell him my family has been waiting. Instead of appoligizing or taking my order he just says, "well you should have put a note to say which one you wanted." I told him the woman did not say anything about me needing to reserve donuts that weren't even out yet. Again he made no attempt to take my order. Instead he told me it will be hot today (its summertime) and he wants to close early (it is clearly printed on the front door that business hours end at 4pm. We got there around 11 Am). He will not be making anymore donuts today.
So the woman who walked in ordered 3 dozen donuts and leaves. There are maybe half a dozen donuts left in the case, all of which are not the fresh donuts he just put out. I was so upset that we had spent our time waiting for nothing and he just shrugged at me. DO NOT COME HERE. I will NEVER go back and will tell everyone I know that it is a waste of time and that the owners are rude! They don't care about their customers at all which makes me so sad because all I wanted was to support a family owned business and to buy my son a...
Read moreOne would think that a Henry's Donut shop, whether in Arlington, Marysville or Everett, there would be some consistency in taste and or quality of the product ? I love apple fritters (though I'll eat whatever my husband brings home), so this review is based on a comparison of apple fritters. Marysville gets two stars because one, there are very little apple taste to the fritters (due to very little, if no bits of chopped apple and two, they are the same size as the other donuts. Arlington would get a four if they were still in business. Their fritters we're always soft, tasted fresh, as big as the size of my ✋ hand and every bite contained a generous mouth full of chopped apple bits. Everett gets a five 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 star!!! Their fritters are fresh, bigger than my ✋ hand, contain more than a generous portion of chopped apple per fritters to each mouthful. It is all I can do to finish two!!! The service is fantastic and they hardly run out of our favorites. Arlington closed because their rent was raised too high. They refused to pass any increases onto the customer. Finally, think about the snow storm back east...if I absolutely had to have a donut and regardless that I live down the street from the Marysville shop... I would tread the cold and deep snow drifts and head for Everett before I would ever go to...
Read moreThis is my second time going there! The first time was great, the donuts were fresh and tasted good but it was the weekend the first time I went. This time though, the donuts tasted a bit old and the inside of one was completely gooey and not done all the way. I took a few more bites to see and it was like that throughout. Accidents happen right? So I told the lady behind the counter and she told me that I was wrong and it was just sugar making it do that. I know the difference between sugar and a donut that isn’t done all the way. It was pretty insulting. I told her that I’m not looking for a refund, I just wanted to let her know. It was something that could have been handled professionally and instead she kept telling me I was wrong despite seeing it herself. The rest of the donuts were fine, a bit old but it was just the one that wasn’t done all the way. Definitely going to be driving a little further to Henry’s donuts in Everett. They...
