Update 10/2: Unfortunately, I can no longer fully stand behind my original review. The portions have completely changed since they opened. I still love their food and I go there because they're open when I get off work at 3:00 a.m. but I am super disappointed in the difference between what their original portion size was and what it is now.
My daughters favorite thing to eat is Carne Asada Tacos and we have tried them from almost every place you think of from Marysville to Everett to Lynnwood. We both agree that these are the best tacos for the price and can't be beat by any other the other places (including taco trucks)!!!! The Carne Asada Plate is an even better bang for your buck!! The Chimichanga burrito (in my pic) is huge and tasty!
As someone who has been working for Door Dash on and off since 2016, I deal with a lot of restaurants and their employees. Whenever I pick up a order from Burritos CA, they always greet with a smile (no matter how busy they are) and they almost always have the order ready to pick up as soon as I get there. This VERY rarely happens at other places. Yesterday I picked up 6 orders from Taco Bell in Marysville and had to wait anywhere from 6 to 23 min for each order. I also picked up 3 large orders from Burritos CA at the same time of day and they were ready every time I walked in the door. The saddest thing is that people are paying the same price for Taco Bell's version for "Mexican food," went they could be getting the real thing for the same price from much kinder people.
One last shout out to the wonderful people who work there. My friends and I went through the drive thru at 1 AM on New Years Eve. My friend was pretty buzzed and NOT doing a good job of communicating our order. After several tries to order at the speaker, they had us pull up to the window to order. Then we had problems with my card that is demagnetized (which we were able to fix because they have tap to pay). Through the entire ordeal, they were EXTREMELY patient with us, even though they were slammed. I know how hard it is to deal with drunk customers and they were exceptionally kind, going above and beyond to help us...
Read moreI have been going to this location since it opened. I keep giving it a chance. Trying different things, because Mexican food is my absolute favorite and it’s so close. Normally the staff is friendly. Have smiles on their faces. But yesterday’s visit made me feel like their customers ARE NOT VALUED!
I felt like I had walked into a military zone !! not a single smile, barely a greeting… the lady that served me look like she wanted to jump down my throat as I asked her for grilled chicken tacos…
In my opinion, the grilled chicken burrito and tacos are the only things that are any good. The breakfast burritos …okay. Rolled tacos. Dry. No flavor.
So when I went to get 4 grilled chicken tacos. Using the same words I use every time I go through the drive-through.
But this time going inside
I received 5 rolled tacos , thank goodness I looked inside of that container before I got home because I would’ve been so angry, handing my husband something that he didn’t want. Not a fan of soggy shredded chicken …
No apology. Like it was my fault that she gave me the wrong thing. NOT trying to even make me happy. She didn’t care. It was all over her face.
Then I tell the girl that’s not what I asked for. But. NOT making her take them back. HOPING this time they would be favor filled and not dry.
Again, I said , I came for grilled chicken soft tacos. I get them here often. three grilled chicken, soft tacos …
And I see that she put up hardshell tacos … I then again say grilled chicken, soft tacos . She makes an adjustment. I think it’s the right thing and the next thing I know she’s handing me three hardshell tacos with shredded chicken.
NOT. WHAT. I. ORDERED.
I wanted grilled chicken soft tacos ordered them many times before so confused as to why it wasn’t possible to get them yesterday !!
And the military atmosphere !!
I’ll find another place to go …their grilled chicken tacos are not worth that feeling, that you are not a valued client.
We are big tippers !!
That girl could have gotten a really nice tip from...
Read moreLooks like I need to put my most recent updated review. We decided to give them another try. We ordered 3 burritos., nothing else. They tried charging us $65 and some change. We declined the food and went elsewhere. I'd like to know how an item goes from $10.99 per burrito to total over $65. The only thing we changed was asking for shredded chicken instead of the beef. Our total should have been around $45. This place is ridiculous and are price gouging thieves!
Updating my review. We came in for lunch today. Sat and ate and then needed to make a to go order. As I sat to wait for my food I noticed the guy who took my order put it in wrong and charged me more than what the menu said. I asked them to fix it to to what my family member requested. The guy told me no and refused to fix the burrito. So I asked for my money back. He said no and almost got in my face...physically. My significant other saw this and immediately stood up to come to my defense (no, I was very polite and respectful when talking to the guy). The guy saw him stand up from our table and then agreed to return my money. The lady was going to give me $3.00 back. I said no, I'd like my full refund. She she tried giving me my dollar amount. I then said I'd like all of my money returned, including the change. That guy was horrible. He said he asked me if I wanted the chicken grilled when I ordered. I said I told him normal way they do it, not grilled chicken. And then I told him I couldn't hear him when I was ordering. We were both having to repeat ourselves. FYI, there were lots of people in there, the music was loud and he spoke very fast. So no, I couldn't understand him.
The burritos are huge! If you want the largest, get the monster burrito. We got two of the breakfast burritos and even those...
