Ocean Breeze — Restaurant in Marysville

After visiting here many times before because they do indeed have great good. Only thing is having to deal with rude staff.

We went back again last week, to once again rude staff. Now, we are done patronizing.

Had a new waitress, which is fine. Those of us that waited table at one time, understand. I felt bad for her because she didn’t know the menu and was unable to take our order very well. But we made it through.

When our order arrived, it was wrong. No biggie. We just passed the food around the table to the correct person and finished eating. Food was good, like I mentioned.

We got the bill and to no surprise it was wrong. Two items were corrected but one was not. It was indeed correct. If you really, really, really love blueberry pancakes……..you can find them here for sure. When you add 2 to your meal….they are $6.56.

We had just assumed she charged us for a while order, which is what we asked for, but only got 2. We thought we were overcharged for the two. Nope. It was legit. I said ok, no problem I just assumed that was for a full order. The worker responded back, that things aren’t free , ya know.

I just stood there. In disbelief. One we ordered a full order and only received 2, and was told it was a $1.50 up charge, not $6.56 including tax. And that comment was made to my face?

I’m not sure if this lady was the owner, an owners wife, or manager. But those exact words were said right to my face. I didn’t want anything for free. I just wanted to be charged correctly.

I felt bad for the new waitress. She was not properly trained. Therefore she will suffer with bad tips. I left her more than 15%. Because I’ve been in her shoes a lot of years ago and I do understand.

I just didn’t understand the rudeness.

Again, if you can handle rudeness……the food is good.

excellent food, 5 stars. super nice waitress, 5 stars. very clean place, 5 stars. only complaint is pricing. i got a baked potatoe and added bacon, it cost me $3 for the bacon. and it was like one strip oF bacon. i ordered cheese on my salad, they charged me $1.50 for a tiny bit of cheese. i asked for cheese on my baked potatoe, another $1.50. and no the waitress did not tell me they would charge me for these extra items. so i paid $6 for a little bit of bacon and a little bit of cheese. i would have TIPPED the waitress more but charging me $6 extra was insulting. everything else was perfect. STOP...

Used to eat here a bunch, been doing take out due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The woman who co-owns the establishment said to me as I was paying for my food that "The virus doesn't exist" because "she works all the time and hasn't been affected. As if that is even remotely intelligent...

Such delusions is dangerous and is absolute willful ignorance. Considering the people who have lost family and friends like myself. Avoid this establishment they're troglodytes. Who knows if they even wash their hands at this point. Disgusting ignorance and complete...
