Tres Hermanos is our hands down, go-to Mexican restaurant. I moved up North from living in Seattle for quite awhile and felt it was hard at first to find our go-to restaurants up here. Lack of variety? Different standards? Who knows! Anyway, we stumbled upon Tres Hermanos about 4 yrs ago and now we have a hard time eating anywhere else!
This is your classic Mexican retaurant: Chips, salsa, & ceviche. Warm & welcoming feel. Extensive menu with typical choices and some unique to the restaurant. Affordable pricing. Delicious margaritas.
What sets them apart from the rest? Their dishes and meats are amazing! I have never had better flavored shredded beef (and we eat a LOT of Mexican food) and their entrees with sauces (cremas, etc.) are also incredible! On top of that, their service is also impeccable. Always the same staff over the past 4 yrs, which tells me it is a well run establishment and there is consistency. Super friendly and happy to cater to your requests. Great with kids and cater to them as well (never serve hot plates, water cups with lids).
I must also note that one day while I was there eating lunch with my son, a gentleman seated behind us had ordered a dish, ate said dish, and when the bill came he started arguing that the price wasn't right and that he had ordered a different, lower priced, dish to begin with and they had delivered the wrong one so he wouldn't pay. This gentleman was extremely rude and I felt terrible for the server. The server kept his cool, was very gracious in his response, and offered to credit his card the difference of the meals to make the customer happy. It still did not make the customer happy. Needless to say, it was handled extremely well considering the terrible treatment and I gave him an extra tip (you know that customer didn't tip).
If you are in the area and hankering for some good Mexican food, this...
Read moreMy experiences at Tres Hermanos have been a bit of a rollercoaster, and it's challenging to give a definitive rating. At times, the food and service have been outstanding, while on other occasions, I've left questioning whether it was worth the visit.
Let's start with the positives. When Tres Hermanos gets it right, they really shine. The food, on its good days, is delicious and authentic, showcasing the flavors of Mexican cuisine. The menu is diverse, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. The ambiance is pleasant, and the décor adds a nice touch to the dining experience.
On the flip side, there have been visits when I've regretted stepping through the door. The inconsistency in both food quality and service is perplexing. It's not a matter of how busy the restaurant is, as it has never been crowded during my visits. Yet, there are times when the service is slow, and the food falls short of the standards I've experienced on better days.
The staff's friendliness varies, which contributes to the mixed experience. Some servers go above and beyond to ensure a positive dining experience, while others seem disinterested or inattentive. This inconsistency in service quality adds an unpredictable element to the overall visit.
In terms of ambiance, the restaurant itself is well-designed and has a pleasant atmosphere. However, the overall experience is marred when the service and food don't align with the expectations set during previous visits.
In conclusion, Tres Hermanos has the potential to be a great dining spot, but the inconsistency in both food quality and service leaves me hesitant to wholeheartedly recommend it. It's a bit of a gamble – you might have an exceptional experience, or you might leave disappointed. If they can address the inconsistency issues, Tres Hermanos could truly shine as a reliable and enjoyable...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious authentic Mexican food. Server Armando was excellent. Very polite and pleasant. He was very attentive, explained menu items and handled our questions. I met my daughters there for a wonderful family meal. Some of us were very late due to traffic though they were not crowded and Armando was very gracious. As the restaurant started to get much busier Armando moved quickly and still gave us great service while also handling all of his customers well. I had Alambres - carne asado, chorizo, bacon, peppers & onions and cheese all melted together on a huge plate with Mexican rice & refritos. Outstanding taste combination. Note that the plates are very hot when delivered, which helps keep the meal warm and tasty. If you usually order pizza with onions, peppers and all the meats you will love the Alambres. Try the corn tortillas for a little extra Sweetness. Daughters had chicken Mole and the signature "Arroz con Pollo Tres Hermanos", all very delicious. Bar is a bit limited, large number of various flavored margaritas, couple of beers & Tequila. No other cocktails, but I was happy with a nicely flavored peach marg. Good options to match the nice family friendly atmosphere. Large portions,. I made two decent sized snacks from the leftovers. Had a few gristly meat bites but overall excellent. So many tasty menu options, we will certainly be back often! Gracias Tres...
