Well. Hmmmm. I have been driving past this restaurant for over the past 4 months. I have been meaning to visit but I haven't had a real craving for Italian food as of yet. But today I did. I ordered the House Special Calzone and an unsweet tea. Let me start by saying they are social distancing. The tables are marked off and they have a sign out front that says if you are waiting for a table and there are several in the waiting area for you to wait outside. All the staff were wearing masks. I was seated right away. It was not very busy at all. I ordered my food. While waiting for the food the waitress brought out the bread sticks and marinara sauce. The bread tasted good and seemed fresh. It was light and fluffy with a taste of butter and garlic. The Calzone came out and was a little smaller than I remember, but maybe I've grown and gotten bigger. Not the food getting smaller. The house calzone has Ricotta, mozzarella cheeses, beef, ham, Pepperoni and sauteed onions and mushrooms. Cutting into the calzone the cheese started oozing out. You guys that read my reviews know how I like cheese. So I was excited. Upon further eating though I found the meat portions lacking. I only found 6 pepperoni and I didn't see any beef. The ham was very thinly sliced but seemed to be about a 1/4 cup. The onions and mushrooms were proportional to what I would expect. The cheese was overloaded. And I do love cheese. The waitress kept my drink full and asked if I needed anything at least once during my meal. The food was ok. With it being the house special I really expected more meat. I was not blown away by the taste so I have to award 3 stars. Especially since my meal was over $12. Plus I left a tip. I may try to go back. Maybe next time I can order something lighter and get one of the desserts. They all looked yummy. Stay safe...
Read moreWe sat down and the people behind us were talking about how their food had a funky smell. So we just ordered a chicken calzone thinking that's pretty simple. The chicken was undercooked and my husband was like don't eat that it's sour and undercooked. The waitress was very very rude. She didn't care we were unsatisfied and handed us the check. They asked me how my food was when we went to pay and I told them maybe not serve a pregnant woman undercooked chicken it's extremely unsafe. The manager argued with my husband (who has been an executive chef for 5+ years at Hilton) told him that he was wrong and made us pay for the food anyways. She didnt even bother to check the food herself or offer any solution. He asked her if she knew what the internal temperature should be when cooking chicken since she was so confident the chicken was done and he was lying - she didnt know and yelled at him even more. THIS WAS THE MANAGER. How could she not be embarassed every customer could hear her. He took one bite. He has friends in the health dept I'm sure he's probably gonna call and talk about the conditions we noticed front of house just due to how we were talked to. All the staff were kids and I've never been to an Italian restraunt that doesn't have a wine selection yet serves stir fry? I love the sevierville location - this location wouldn't survive in sevier county. They are literally riding the coat tails of the reputation the one in sevierville has. If I were the owners I would be embarrassed on all ends- quality, cleanliness, and staff. Literally taco bell would've done a better job. I would only recommend this...
Read moreI normally love this place and the food. The staff is okay. They don’t really try hard to empress anyone. Kind of bla. They aren’t rude but they also aren’t upbeat. My husband and I decided to try something new which was the lasagna. It looked amazing and was hot but when we ate it the meat inside tasted like ravioli in a can meat. It was griddey and no flavor. It wasn’t good at all. The sauce is amazing. My husband didn’t care for his either. We literally had one bite and both didn’t care for it. We asked for a refund and the waitress said she would get the manager. I apologized over and over and even said I hate to be that customer that complains but I really can’t stomach it. The manager comes out and tries to tell us they can’t refund simply because we don’t like it. She said the only way they can refund is if they messed up on it. Well in the menu it doesn’t state what type of cheeses they use it just says assorted cheese. I didn’t know lasagna has clumps of ricotta. Normally when I make lasagna I mix all the chesses well, so no nasty chunks. In the long run she refunded the lasagna and we paid for our kids food and salads and drinks. She also made it a point to point out if something doesn’t taste right next time just deal with it cause they don’t normally refund. If a customer doesn’t like something because it taste horrible and they didn’t eat it than it is the company’s place to refund it. I’m not going to pay for something I couldn’t eat because it tasted horrible. I’m not giving zero stars because I normally love there food and this was just one I will...
