Las Margaritas Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Maryville

They give you free cheese dip with your chips! Already puts them above any other neighboring Mexican restaurant 😂.

Since Covid I’m used to be disappointed by pretty much every eating experience, not that they’re horrible but they’re always a more expensive, lower quality, poorer service version of what I’ve had just a couple years ago. I can honestly say this dinning experience was the first time in 4 or so years that I’ve ate somewhere and was actually surprised, where it wasn’t just acceptable but actually enjoyable, where I actually felt like I underpaid for what I got and was excited to tip more and not just fulfilling a civic obligation 😂.

Service was quick, I sat down and figured there was some mistake when they brought me salsa and cheese dip with my chips, I’ve never seen a place give free cheese dip, most want $6 for it now days. I ordered a chicken and steak burrito and the chicken and steak were both seasoned well and not overcooked, the rice wasn’t dry, and the waiter was spectacular. Nearly every table was occupied yet he was polite, friendly, and always had anything I needed very quickly.

I can’t recommend any place higher, I love Mexican food, I’ve tried the majority of the restaurants in Maryville and I’ve not found anywhere that comes close to Las Margaritas Mexican Grill. I’ll have to try them again sometime to make sure it wasn’t a fluke of spectacular circumstances but it’s the only restaurant where I didn’t feel like I was being nickeled and dimed for a inferior experience and lower quality of food than I’ve had in the past,...

We had an opportunity to visit this restaurant with some friends in the area and I wasn't terribly impressed. The food was delicious. The service was a little lackluster. I don't expect to be whined and dined and treated like royalty, but if I don't get what I actually ordered, then it can be a problem. My wife has onion allergies and we always discuss this with the server before ordering to make sure that we can get something that she can eat. We asked the server if there were any onions in the rice and he said no absolutely not, and of course they came out with onions in the rice. We told him no onions on the fajitas and he said no problem, and of course the fajitas came out with onions in them. I ordered my meal without onions because the aroma of cooked onions that close to my wife can cause her face to rash up and of course my meal came out with onions. A friend of ours ordered a steak burrito as it's listed on the menu and he ended up getting a chicken burrito that didn't have any of the cheeses or sauce on it. I don't think the kitchen messed up, I think the server just grabbed whatever he saw on the plate and thought it was for his table paying no attention to the details. Like I said, the food was good but the service was lacking. Your mileage may vary on any other given day with anybody else...

This was our first time here and they were VERY very busy. (It was a Sat night around 6pm.) The hostess was friendly and got us seated immediately. Our server was hustling the entire time. There were a couple of things wrong on our order and several times things were missing (like short a water, tortillas for fajitas, etc.) But every time we asked he corrected it immediately and had a good attitude the whole time. Some of the mistakes I think were probably the kitchen being swamped and making things the usual way instead of with the changes I asked for. Our server repeated everything back to us so that's really what I think happened. But regardless it was all good. He told us at the end that he had our section plus the outside seating (at opposite end of building) and so that's why he was rushing back and forth. The food was fantastic! Really. So good. Portions were huge. Fajitas for 2 could easily feed 3-4 people. (We made 9 fajitas out of it plus ate some of the meat and veggies plain.) The large dinner for 2 (forget what it was called) fed all 4 of our kids. The free cheese dip was such an awesome bonus. We will definitely return here often. So glad to have finally given this...
