Burrito Bistro’s website proclaims, “Tasty. Fresh. Fast!” and I have to agree with each of those adjectives. Their colorful storefront having caught my eye on a recent visit to Mashpee Commons, I decided to check out the reviews and subsequently stop in the following day to try their B2 burrito—a substantial meal in itself (I ordered the large—it’s nice that they offer several sizes)—the vegan version. My order was ready quickly and I marveled at its heft as I lifted the bag and sat down outside to enjoy my meal. The unadulterated, perfectly cooked base of black beans and Jasmine rice was a refreshing change from greasy, salty mixes I’ve had in other establishments. Both the legume and the grain tasted like there were no unnecessary oils or seasonings added to the cooking process. Instead, the flavor came from the chargrilled vegetables scattered throughout: perfectly cooked meaty chunks of mildly sweet and crunchy carrot, corn, zucchini, and onions—just like the rice and beans, there were no additives to the veggies; they were garden fresh and naturally tasty. I paid extra for Salsa Fresca and guacamole; however, unlike the rest of the ingredients, the portions of these were minimal and all amassed at the bottom of the burrito. Service was good—employees were friendly and responsive; however, the employee taking my order had an earbud in one ear, which she had to remove so I could repeat my question when I came up to the counter a second time. Although I didn’t expect it to be, the burrito was not authentic Mexican; however, it was fresh and flavorful and I would definitely return for another next time...
Read moreCalled because they obviously messed up an order, because one burrito was suppose to be a Grande sized and they made the fish one a Grande and not the one that was suppose to be. Called and told them and they told me pretty much "nah your wrong" and told me they "weigh it" so its correct. Then I said, then why does it match a regular sized burrito, and they told me that "the COD takes up more room in the burrito so it makes it visually larger" LMAO, because fish is so heavy and dense like rubber right ?. That's an outright lie. Nah, Grande sized burritos are suppose to look very visually larger then the regular sized ones, its obvious. Lost a customer because you wanted to fight over 3 dollars. Ill go somewhere else, thankfully it was just a wasted 3 dollars for the Grande upcharge. Food is good, but if yall gona do that and gaslight your customers. Ill go...
Read moreWell that was really confusing. I came here thinking oh maybe it's like Taco Bell or chipotle or Moe's.. no. This makes those chains feel more dare I even say Mexican. We all know it's a watered down chain but I guess I was at least hoping for satisfactory tastes. If you asked me to describe this chain it's an Americanized Italian ish Mexican fusion. The salsa is.. like marinara sauce and the vegetables are confusing in their flavor profile. I ordered a "tostada salad" 🤣 they upcharge for the veggie mix but they shouldn't. Just go to taco bell your wallet will thank you. The workers aren't bad I just think the dynamic of this chain is...
