If you stumble across this restaurant in your list, please do yourself a favor and give it a try. Will not disappoint. We (party of 8) came for a visit (from Naples) , and realized quickly that many things were closed and in 5 days, the visit was almost lost in search of an amazing meal. We called and made a reservation within 15 mins, we arrived. The ambiance was welcoming and warm, with a vibe of vintage modern French. The smells of fresh garlic herbs and butter with a sweet twist met us at the door. In review of the menu, it was simple but unique. We were unsure and at one point my husband mentioned the potential of portions being small. Melissa greeted us with ease and allowed time to discuss after explaining the menu. We ordered multiple cocktails from the list. Lavender lemon drop was super refreshing, and the Bourbon definitely gave a toasty warm feeling of comfort on a rainy, dreary day. Ultimately ordered the recommended wine for our meal. Wanting to try a little of everything, we ordered appetizers- the Escargot, the mussels and the oysters. A few were a tad reluctant in trying the escargot and a few were hesitant on the oysters.. WOW!! There are not words to describe in justice how especially delicious these were. Will dream of these for life now, quite the best I have ever had. For our meal we also ordered one of everything. They were all exquisite, each hand prepared with intense compliments to the chef. The Salmon, phenomenal, and truly nothing was less than amazing. This was the experience that reprieved an entire vacation and made a family , with a picky few, completely content in life.I would choose this again and again. The owners came out to chat and we were excited to relay our appreciation for such a great experience. Five stars and a huge THANK YOU for being ridiculously fantastic. Well done Bleu. Great service and amazing...
Read moreWe were traveling to Cape for a quick weekend getaway and needed a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. We are so glad we picked Bleu because it was one of the best restaurants we have been to in this area. Didn’t realize it was inside of Mashpee Commons which made the parking a breeze. The waitress was phenomenal and went above and beyond on every aspect of the service. The place is gorgeous and we loved how all the vines are displayed. If you have lil kids, may be you wanna consider a seat where kids don’t have access to these bottles which literally are placed next to the seats. We ordered Goat Cheese and Roasted Beet Salad with Walnut Dressing and Pecans and Warm Brie & Onion Confit Tart with Pine Nuts Arugula White Fig Honey. The Brie was just out of the world. For dinner, i ordered the New Zealand Roasted Rack of Lamb, Summer Tomato Chutney Reggiano Cheese Corn Cake and Arugula and we also ordered the y Filet Mignon "au Poivre" Four Peppercorn Sauce with Crème Fraîche,Bacon and Onion Yukon Potatoes, and French Beans. Both were booked to perfection. For dessert, we ordered the raspberry chamber creme brûlée and the hot chocolate truffle cake. Everything was so decadent and so delicious that we didn’t leave a crumb on the plate. Get your own crème brûlée and not for the table. It’s too good to be shared. We will be back here in a heartbeat for a meal. Everything about this place is phenomenal. It really is worth 5 stars...
Read moreIt was my 30th b-day. My mother-in-law is French so we wanted to take them to a French restaurant for dinner. We've never been to this one before but my husband said it's supposedly good. When we arrived there, no one greeted us. Our waitress served us the drinks in 15 min. The salads in another 15. She seemed like she didn't care about the quality of service but the cost of the dinner. She brought us bread and butter 30 min after we were seated, with our salads. She would rudely grab the menu from our hands instead of asking politely if she could have it back. The food was some kind of OK. Small portions for the price. My asparagus were not cooked well, they seemed to be still a little fresh and not steamed, so they tasted sour. Anyway, we felt like we didn't have a waitress. At the end of the dinner, she asked if we'd like the check, I asked for desserts menu, and she never asked if we'd like coffee or anything else. I was still working on my dessert when she came back for the check and took my dessert away :((( The first time she didn't have the chance to take it away as I was in the restroom and my husband told her I was still working on it. But that was it. Second time she did grab it when it was right in front of me without even asking if I'm all set. I did not wanna argue as it was my b-day, but we're def NOT going back...
