This restaurant is located in the Mashpee Commons, where lots of stores, eateries, and even a movie theater resides. It is an outdoor mall, so not super convenient on a rainy day or snowy day, but it is very well organized and very pretty looking. The Italian restaurant, Siena, is located right next to the movie theater.
The inside was nice size, with lots of table and booth seating. They also have a full bar on the other side, with more seating around it. We went to a movie beforehand, and it is an easy walk from the theater. It only takes a minute, which is super convenient! It was not crowded when we got there, but it did bit busier while we were there.
We started off our dinner with some drinks. We ordered White Sangria, which is house-made and I heard is popular. We also ordered their special drink of the day, Poinsettia Sparkler. They were both good, the sangria was a pretty good size, refreshing and fruity.
We had Truffle Fries, Harvest Salad, Veal Piccata, Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp & Spaghetti, and Cioppino. They were all tasty, not the best I've had, but they were nice. The truffle fries were really nice and addicting. Their food are a bit pricey, but then again, the amount you receive are pretty good.
Our server was friendly and nice, polite and warm. We had a very nice dinner here. And if you ate too much, you can always walk around the mall after the meal and burn off some of the calories. Read my full review of this shop and food on my food blog,...
Read moreMy favorite restaurant in the Mashpee Commons, and likely all of Mashpee. My wife and I always have a excellent meal here. The lunch menu is a great mix of different options such as burgers, pasta, wraps, sandwiches, and salads. Dinner menu offers a diverse selection of pasta dishes, steak, and seafood. Menus do change with seasons so something you may see above may not be on the menu when you go. I must commend on whoever trained the staff because they are all very attentive and professional when we have been there. Cape Cod being seasonal and restaurants having to hire a fair amount of people for the summer service at some restaurants can really go down but not at Siena. Managers always seem to be walking around and checking to make sure everything is fine, which is something my wife and I appreciate. Never had to complain about anything but it shows the level of hospitality they want to give. You can't go wrong with their chicken parm, saltimbocca, or any of their pizzas. One of my favorite pizzas is the spicy sausage pie, if you don't mind a little spice I highly recommend it! Siena will be crowded on weekends so I suggest you make a reservation if you are able to. Overall a must go to if you are in the Mashpee...
Read moreWent yesterday for Mother's Day lunch. They sat us in the back corner by the bathrooms which I noticed was very dirty. The carpets are all stained, booth seats were covered in crumbs. You couldn't event get into the inside seats without pulling out the first chair into the dining area.
We ordered mussels and a community bowl of pasta - which btw the pasta was about $16 and the same size as a one person portion. They were also out of mussels so we ordered shrimp scampi appetizer. Which was horrible. No flavor. I can seriously make it better. The pesto pasta also had rocks in it, we had the organic penne with pesto. I think someone didn't wash the basil as well as forgot to add any salt or pepper.
My father also asked for butter when the bread arrived and even after our appetizer arrived, still no butter. We had to ask again. Then when it came time to pay the bill, we waited forever for our waitress to come back. I think she forgot about us tucked in the corner. I would say she was very pleasant and nice to deal with but for the money we paid it is not worth going there, it needs a clean up and something happened to their cooks. They used to have...
