The ice cream is good. Really good. And the customer service is usually really good too, friendly workers. But today I went and it felt like we were being insulted by the owner. I understand that there was a lot of people waiting and that one of your employees probably didn’t come in, but that doesn’t mean you take out your frustration on the customers. That’s unprofessional.
We went in and waited at the counter for a couple seconds and then we ordered 3 pints. While he was filling the pints, some people came in and were waiting. That’s fine, it’s not like they were complaining or anything. While he was filling the pints, we tried to make conversation with him, but he mostly just scowled or was very curt. That’s ok too, we got that you were very busy and there were people in line, just kinda irking.
When he was putting our pints into the bag, we asked if he could put one in a separate bag. He either didn’t hear us, or ignored us. My grandma asked if there was a senior citizen discount, and my grandpa laughed it off. He said no, that’s fine, we didn’t expect one. He asked us if the pints were together or separate and we had a discussion where I said that I could pay, but my grandparents said they would buy. This was probably 10 seconds max. He was very irritated during our talk. It was a little loud in the building, so when he said the price, my grandma didn’t hear it, and was asking us how much it was. During this we noticed that it was impossible to tell the difference between the pints, so we thought he would write letters on the pints or something and we were talking about this. I think he overheard us because he loudly took the pints out the bag, crinkled up the old paper bag, slammed the pints on the counter and wrote letters on them. When the labeled pints were in a new bag, we handed him the money, and he shoved it back, saying “that’s your senior discount.”
We were nothing but cordial and tried to make jokes with you, but you were curt and passive aggressive. I appreciate the free ice cream, but we would’ve gladly paid, even after the passive aggressiveness. We brought up the senior citizen discount once as a joke, and you treated it like we were constantly complaining about the price. We weren’t complaining, we were trying to make small talk. Nevertheless, I’ll still come here, because the ice cream IS good, I’ll just hope we’ll have one of the part time high schoolers serve us instead. Because they have enough self control to not take out their frustrations...
Read moreSo the place itself is a very cute little ice cream shop, the ice cream was amazing but the 2 girls that were working when I went in were so rude. I had never been here before and was excited to try it cause I heard good things. I went in with my boyfriend and my 2 year old and I said I needed a minute because I had never been there before and the girl behind the counter rolled her eyes and acted really annoyed(we were in the only people in there so they weren’t busy) and the other girl kept walking by and glaring at us over her shoulder. And the girl at the counter kept looking at us and rolling her eyes. Needless to say we left faster than we came In. I have no idea what we did and no idea why we were being given death glares the...
Read moreOh my goodness! I can't even tell you how good their ice cream was! We had never been there before, so my daughter and I got a flight (6 scoops in what looks like a cupcake holder) all 6 different flavors. *The lemon poppy seed tastes almost like biting into cold lemon poppy seed bread!! *The coffee and donut one tasted so good! If you don't like coffee you will not be as excited as we were. *The birthday cake one tasted like you were biting into cake batter. *The cookie dough was pretty good. *The blueberry cheesecake was really good, nice and flavorful. *The Heath and caramel was also very good! Some of my favorite things put together...
