Louis' Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in Mason

This restaurant has been sold to a new owner. All reviews prior to 1/1/25 are unrelated to THIS business owner. I am creating the first review for this owner and I wish they could start from 0 reviews rather than inherit the terrible reviews on Google.

Louis' Cajun Seafood is in the same establishment/building as Iron Chef 2. They have intuitively added sauce and seasonings to the boil prior to cooking it so the flavor really permeates the seafood. We ordered the combo 1 including both Snow Crap Legs and Headless shrimp which came with corn and potato. It was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned with the Louis Special Medium which is a combination of Lemon, Garlic and Cajun seasoning. There is a variety of food available from Iron Chef 2. Both menus are made in the same kitchen and share the same point of sale system, we easily added a customizable bento box for 10 bucks which included Rice (we paid an extra dollar for fried), 4 Pieces of Sushi, a chicken egg roll made from scratch and teriyaki chicken with veggies. We typically only get to have seafood boils when we have a date night but this set up makes it ideal for us to bring our kids and order everyone's favorite things while being able to both sit and eat together. I think these new owners deserve a chance to prove they turned this place around. They are working on getting signage and integrating the menus so that they can make a name for themselves here. They deserve your business. Consider ordering a sample of each menu the next time you come in. We are really looking forward to bringing our kids or friends next time. The food for this restaurant is sold in the same building as Iron Chef 2. While there are some bad reviews on this restaurant, as previously mentioned in a review there is a new owner and those reviews are completely unrelated to the current business, so I decided to give it a try. It is hard to get seafood boils around here, especially for an affordable price, but let me say that this place checks off both those boxes and it is fantastic. All the food is seasoned extremely well and the amount given is also plenty (especially for one person). My favorite were the Cajun sausages, which were especially rich in flavor. I think this place really deserves a chance and should not be judged by the bad reviews completely unrelated to them, so...

I ordered 2 seafood boil bags and mines had some white paste all in it , still unsure of what that was!! And also THEY DONT CLEAN THE MUSSELS !! My daughter scream!! Our mussels had hair / fur on them !! It took our appetite away !!! I’ve never experienced anything like this. Not sure if it was done intentionally but I don’t think we will ever eat mussels again!! Of course we live 35mins away and we never had to check mussels before!! Waste of money will...
