Old Carolina Barbecue Company — Restaurant in Massillon

I have to agree with Andy. My wife and I started going to the Old Carolina in Massillon when they first opened. We loved it so much that we started eating there every Friday. We actually sat and talked with one of the three guys that started Old Carolina. We used to live in Houston back in the late 70s, so we became big bbq fans after eating genuine Texas BBQ for years. But as Old Carolina expanded and opened more locations, the quality of the food went down and the prices went up. Well, I’m a truck driver and I come up here every week to pick up milk and while I was waiting to get loaded, I decided to order this barbecue through DoorDash and I’m leaving the review because it was absolutely delicious. I got the half a slab of ribs, which was tender, and some of the best flavor I have had out here on the road in this country. The coleslaw was different but was good as well and the baked beans had only one issue and that was the cumin that is being put in them because it kind of confuses you to think that it is chilly but other than that, I was well satisfied great job guys. We had Old Carolina BBQ cater a staff meeting this week, and WOW — it was a hit! Every single person was blown away by how delicious the food was. From the tender pulled pork to the perfectly seasoned sides, everything was spot-on.

Dom delivered our meal and took care of the entire setup. He was incredibly personable, came across as a genuine animal lover (which we loved!), and left an amazing impression on our team. It’s not often you get both great food and great service, but they delivered on both fronts.
