I've been going here regularly for 3 years now and I have brought so many people over who have also fallen in love with the place. I've had work lunches here, date nights, and just casual meals with friends.
The food is amazing and tastes fresh, it's a small and intimate atmosphere which makes for a nice cozy experience, and the owner is a wonderful woman who greets everyone with such happiness and respect. Her family is also wonderful and nice when you see them working there as well.
I truly believe this place is a hidden gem here in Charlotte and I consider this my favorite restaurant in the city.
And if you're curious my go-to order that never fails me is the Create Your Own Noodle Bowl, House Special, with Mai Fun Noodles, and a Fried Egg on top with a side of Edamame and an Iced Malaysian White Coffee. Everyone should go to Li's. It's kinda like Lam's Kitchen a few years ago, before Lam's got too popular and moved & expanded. A much shorter, more Americanized menu -- I'm pretty sure there's just one chef in the back, and the whole menu is her creation and labor of love. But it's perfect for low key anytime takeout or eating in. Pictured is the Mala Soup (a special, possibly temporary) - I could eat this every week for the...
Read moreTo begin, the ambiance is welcoming because of the owner who greets you immediately. They have this little gem of a restaurant decorated tastefully. The service was excellent, everyone was so nice and efficient! The food was outstanding as well. We enjoyed a double order of shrimp spring rolls, fried perfectly, and served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. One of my party had their Hong Kong dumpling soup. It had multiple dumplings, pork and shrimp. All the soups are made to order, apparently, so the bok choy was very fresh. We ordered 2 different create your own noodle dishes. One of us order chicken ramen and the other one was a chicken mei fun. The third person ordered a beef vegetable stir...
