Olga's Mediterranean Kitchen (inside Firepit Grille) — Restaurant in Maumee

Gave Olga’s Express (inside FirePit) a try, must say a bit saddening. I think the only way you’ll stand a chance of enjoying Olga’s Express is if you dismiss all memories of the original Olga’s Kitchen from decades past, otherwise, Olga’s Express is an exercise in “unrealized expectations”. Of which we experienced, it needs to be taken on it’s own terms. Those beautiful, authentic flavors are gone and freshness is at the same level as any other fast-food restaurant. They have the fast-food approach to deliver their product down, along with the slip-ups that come with it and that is the best in accolades I can do. Quality of product – fair, Flavor – mediocre [lost], Accuracy of order – average (which unfortunately is determined by a much-lowered standard in today’s marketplace), Cost – comparable, Value (the comparison between cost and experience/quality) – low. Overall execution – fair. Bottomline, Olga’s Express is simply a mediocre remnant of a time gone by, an experiment lead by the unknowing and inexperienced. I brought my two daughters here. We were very excited because we have been patrons of Olga's, or at least I have since the 1990s. Not to boast, but I know exactly what everything is supposed to taste like. Unlike another review I didn't taste that the bread was any different, but it could have been a bad day or a bad substitute. The first thing I noticed was that the kitchen accidentally put our food into to- go containers. Once the waitress finally found our food, it wasn't warm anymore. The fries were soggy, my spinach pie was soggy I'm completely different than the spinach pie at the better restaurants, and the salad dressing was not the same. I have found a recipe that is very similar to the Olga's dressing, and I can make Olga's salad dressing better than Olga's Express. After all of the disappointing food our bill came out to $60, for three people. That cost is atrocious for what we received. Not only will I never visit the Holland location, I will never visit another...

Super excited we got an Olga's in Holland. So, we gave it a try today. We got a snackers basket, (2) grilled chicken Olga sandwiches and a large salad. All was good except they forgot to put the cheese as requested on the (1) sandwich. From what I have read from these reviews, (to the manager), if you want to keep us happy, please pay more attention to detail on the orders. You have a good thing here with this Olga Express inside the Fire Pit. Don't screw it up by not paying attention to detail and getting the orders right. I WILL order again. I did enjoy mine very much. (One more thing) - please get more of the Olga items on your menu. The Olga's on Lasky has way more than you.
