We dined here in the past and had a really great experience. Everything about the experience today was worthy of zero stars. The Chardonnay was "hot" and on top of that, the worst I have ever tasted. We ordered table side guacamole. The server asked which size. We repeated table side, the kind you make right here at the table. He comes out of the kitchen with it already made. We declined it because we don't like lime and wanted jalapeños on the side. He said we should have told him that from the start and to remember that next time (there won't be a next time). Uh, that is the purpose of having it made at the table. If you are going to call it table side, then YOU do your job and ask if we want everything in it like every other Mexican restaurant. Do pay attention to the fact that fajitas come with nothing (no guacamole, no cheese, no pico, no sour cream). They still charge more than others, but without the typical fixings and once again, the server failed to mention this. I requested a side of pico and my husband a side of sour cream. A very tiny container arrived at $1.50 upcharge each (also, never mentioned by the server). I think to get all the fixings is $2.00, but they charged us $3.00 each for a teaspoon serving of only two things that are included at orher restaurants. I could go on, but will just say, go to a restaurant that communicates with the guest and cares about their experience. They don't at El...
Read moreThis little Mexican restaurant tucked away in Maumelle is a gem to enjoy. I have been here several times and the food is consistently great. Service is great. The place is clean and enjoyable to be in. Only 1 issue in about 9 dining experiences. Don't sit near the door to the kitchen. The cooks enjoy there music too and it can be too loud and confusing to the senses. You see they have 4 tv's on silent, Spanish music pumped in to the speaker system. Then factor in the cooks different radio station! You get overload. Just pick a booth on the wall or a window seat. You can't go wrong. My opinion is! They won't stay in this location long. They need a larger presence and more space to expand for additional seating. They have an opportunity to compete for business with the other Latino owned restaurants in the area. Good luck to them.... And good...
Read moreI was excited to check out this new place, as it is very close to where I live. Everything was alright and I encourage others to try this place. Just pay with cash. You'll be charged extra for using a card. The picture provided is the after-the-fact reciept and I didn't notice this info on the first one. It's called a cash discount, but look at the subtotal and the tax. $7.95 plus $0.76 doesn't equal $9.06. You're paying extra because of using a card. I've learned most resturaunts are charged 2%-3% for running cards and they usually factor this directly into the menu prices so the customer never has to see it. This just caught me off guard is all. Good environment, good food, pay with cash, and GIVE THIS...
