Massa Artisan Bakery — Restaurant in Mayagüez

My wife and I have visited Messa in several occasions since it’s opening. The biggest problem we are encountering during the last four or five visits is inconsistency with the quality of their menu item. Today, we ordered a veggie sandwich, which we had ordered just six days ago. The sandwich was missing three main ingredients, and the staff failed to to even mention if this was because they did not have the ingredients or not. The sandwich was sent back, and we asked for the specific ingredients to be added. The sandwich came cack the same as it originally was served. Sent it back again, and this time a tiny piece of pickle, and I mean tiny, square pice of pickle was added. Needless to say, we did not pay for that sandwich. Espectacular! What an amazing place to have a good coffee and a great breakfast in an amazing environment. Sadly I can’t give more stars, because the food and service was magnificent.

My server was happy and full of energy to be a Sunday morning… you rarely find that in a restaurant. Her attention was amazing.

The food was something else… I ordered the Benedicts, something not everyone knows how to do the right way. Hollandaise sauce was on point. The coffee had this amazing brew that could wake anyone up.

In summary… this place is a must go. If you’re nearby and do not know of a decent place to eat, this is the place. I have recommended the restaurant to many people already. Definitely I will...

The food is good, pricing is on par with places of such styling and presentation. The biggest downfall is the lack of parking. There’s a bit of space in the front. The rest of street is usually full due to other businesses. (Which usually results in people squeezing their cars in the space in front of the establishment.) There’s a little space on the side but it’s mostly for employees. And there isn’t any organization for parking in it. On a positive note there are 2 spots for plug-in vehicles.
