Viapias Pizza — Restaurant in Mayagüez

It WAS one of my favorite places to eat while visiting Mayagüez. I used to visit them at least twice monthly and always ordered, at least, a "surtido". I have two issues with Viapias: (1) orders take for ever to be served and (2) they are not consistent with the content of the dish. Let me explain myself... 90% of the time I just order a "surtido". Regardless of if the restaurant is packed or there is no one there (like the last 3 times that I visited them), it takes them a good 40+ minutes to get your order ready. Then, over the last 4 years, they have changed the dish several times. For example, one time you get tostones, next time you don't get them, a couple weeks later tostones are back, and later on they gave you cheese sticks. Very random. Based on these two things, and my last experience with Viapias a couple weeks ago, where the content of my meal was dramatically changed again for worst, I think that I will never return here. A shame because their food is tasty and the employees there...

4 of us stopped here for lunch on July 21st. Ordered 2 beers which were indeed cold. The large "veggie" pizza we ordered had only a few toppings (black olives, onions) and, unfortunately, canned mushrooms, not fresh. The garlic rolls we ordered came with some kind of sweet sauce (guava?) vs the traditional marinara sauce. So in terms of the food, I would say it was average.

But what upset me about this place is that they took the only 2 handicap spaces they had and put tables & chairs there (see pic)! There were no other handicap spaces so we parked in a regular spot even having a handicap sticker. We chose not to complain at the time but I do regret not doing so cause I think it's totally wrong for a restaurant to do that. Is that even legal in PR? Aren't businesses suppose to have x number of handicap spaces per xx number of total parking spaces? I hope they fix this problem asap as these...

AVOID this place. Wait time of more than 40 minutes just for the appetizers (and there were only 3 more tables, so it wasn’t busy). When the appetizers arrived they were cold. I asked the waitress to bring the salad that came with my food before and it was brought 15 mins after with all the food. Went there to enjoy dinner as a family and the extreme delay of the food did not allow it....
